Is This the Draft Browns Finally Figure it Out?
They have been due for almost two decades and despite multiple years where they picked multiple times in the first round, the misses keep coming. (Remember the year with Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden? Or an even worse year with Justin Gilbert and Manziel?) It is almost impressive how many times they have screwed this up. I figure they are on the clock first and fourth this year, they can't mess this up again, can they?

I'd go with Barkley (the best RB in the draft). They have Taylor at QB who can be serviceable for the year. Barkley and Hyde make a formidable backfield.

Look at all the playoff teams for the last few years and especially SB winners. Very few have had superstar RBs like AD. Those days are gone when an RB could carry the team. I would get Barkley with the 4th pick if he's still there but I think they need to go QB and offensive line firstTimeTraveler wrote:I'd go with Barkley (the best RB in the draft). Honestly thought this was a thread on how Browns coffee had starting selling draft beer. But you're talking about hand-egg aren't you.

I am just going to go out on a limb and say the browns will fuck up like usual. Honestly have no idea how they can just keep missing. Maybe it isn't the organization but all the trappings of Cleveland that gets to these draftees lol

2 of the top 4?? They have to get one of them right. It will be interesting to see if the Giants take a QB at 2 and how many go in the top 10.Gardiguy wrote:I am just going to go out on a limb and say the browns will fuck up like usual. Ya, a real lack of quality qb's in the league atm. I haven't followed much college ball in the last 2 years so not sure on the quality of the current crop coming up but hopefully a few are legitimate. When Cutler is an okay option for a team, there are problems lol.angsta wrote:2 of the top 4?? They have to get one of them right. You'd think so but the Browns have had at least two recent drafts where they had two first round picks and both were busts, like Justin Gilbert and Manziel a few years ago. I think both are now out of the.league.angsta wrote:2 of the top 4?? They have to get one of them right. I watch a decent amount of college ball and basically my take is:Gardiguy wrote:Ya, a real lack of quality qb's in the league atm. Josh Allen -- huge arm but put up some horrible numbers in college. He couldn't even beat teams like Iowa (threw no TDs, 2 INTs that game).
Sam Darnold -- also big arm but had some suspect games like against OSU. Gets a little jumpy in the pocket.
Josh Rosen -- a good QB but undersized like Brees and a bit of a mama's boy. His former coach complained he likes to ask why too much.
Baker Mayfield -- imo the best in the draft but had some silly antics in college.
As usual, NFL coaches are rigid and conservative in their thinking and don't even seem to be thinking about Lamar Jackson because he is too much of a running QB despite his Heisman.
Would be interesting to see where everyone is in 5 years. I think every QB has flaws but I like Rosen or Mayfield.
