Best bet you've made.
Years ago I did a $4 trifecta on the horses (all i had left at the end of a miserable punting day) it was a tier bet which made it cheap, it paid out $3,600 and for the $4 I only got half that. Bragging rights for a week.
Never mind.

Opened a short position on the GBP v USD a few days before the Brexit vote. I shan't give figures, but it was an extremely healthy trade.
My best coups in the past (when I used to do the horses) were:
The Minstrel to win the Epsom Derby in 1977 - Won 6-1
Burrough Hill Lad to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup - Won 9/2
Reference Point to win the 1987 Epsom Derby - Won 7/2 ante post (6/4 SP)
But there were many losing bets in between! Dancing Brave (second in the 1986 Derby) being one of them.
So, Brexit for me, now that I do financials.

An easy 87% to be made in 80 minutes next week. France wont lose by more than 20points next week against the AB's
Best life bet was taking advise from Mama Chiva Sihanoukville 2002 to marry her rich niece,

1st day at the GGs, was advised by an old hand to put double my planned race stake on my first horse for some beginners luck - not a sausage what I was doing aside from knowing I wasn't going to pick the favourite, or the long odds horse. Went somewhere in the middle with $50 bet - and romped home winner at 13-2; paid for the rest of the day and some.

https://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/06/luis-s ... bet-norwayA Norway gambling website posted a silly prop bet before the World Cup, and 167 people have cashed in.
The prop bet: 175-to-1 odds that Luis Suarez would bite someone during the tournament.
According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, 167 people made the bet, including the owner of the ticket stub seen above. That ticket belongs to Thomas Syversen, who bet 32 krone (about $5.25 USD) on Suarez biting someone. He cashed in for 5600 krone (a little over $916) on the bet. Not a bad bit of business.
Considering Suarez has bitten two other people before on a soccer field, the odds weren’t that bad, either.
Trump winning the election as soon as the prof. that predicted the elections of the last 30 years or so correctly said he would win in September. 75 to 1. 50€ bet
Maybe a few members remember BSCW opened a thread on K440, Trump will win the Election.. a year or so before the vote,.. sorry off topic.jackrossi wrote:Trump winning the election as soon as the prof. that predicted the elections of the last 30 years or so correctly said he would win in September. 75 to 1. 50€ bet

Gav mate, Id like to know how much you took out of a single Casino before security stepped in and asked you to leave because of you're card counting ability. How many Casinos banned you? What's a ball park figure you took them for? Give us a story please. Thanks in advance.
