Pressure Ratchets up on Theresa May
The resignation of the foreign secretary is a huge blow to her 'leadership'.
This follows the resignations of Steve Baker and David Davis.
Surely, her position is now untenable?

The resignations are hardly surprising.
The majority of the British public who voted in the referendum chose to reject the evil EU empire, they voted to regain British sovereignty, they clearly won.
The Government were voted into power at the election on a manifesto to uphold that result, a promise that was also made by the opposition.
May, despite her promises, has deliberately wasted two years, then at the last moment sided with "the enemy", her "Chequers" meeting was a joke, need I go on, it pains me....
The sooner she goes the better, make her take a taxi home, better still she can walk.
What a shambles!

The cancellation of Brexit is a fait accompli. This was obvious from the morning after the vote. Death by delay was always the vested Remoaner's plan.BillyB wrote:The resignations are hardly surprising.

Brexit is the most idiotic decision ever taken in British politics. It's becoming more apparent with every day that passes. Inflation, unemployment , crisis in all sectors employing qualified foreign labour, starting with that inefficient NHS Brits think so highly of, that's been hemorrhaging EU doctors and nurses. Insurance and banks are moving out. Industry is next but hey, "fuck business", as Boris said.
No wonder just old guys stuck in their British empire days , and opportunistic turncoats like BJ and that creep Michael Gove are still pushing for it. I can't stand Corbyn but he might just do a less worse job.

Except Brexit wasn't approved by politicians. It was approved by a majority of citizens in a democratic referendum. It is politicians that are ignoring the will of the people in that historic vote, hoping to buy time and create fear until Brexit simply goes away.logos wrote:Brexit is the most idiotic decision ever taken in British politics.

If the exit hasn't happened, how can you blame Brexit?logos wrote: Inflation, unemployment , crisis in all sectors employing qualified foreign labour, starting with that inefficient NHS Brits think so highly of, that's been hemorrhaging EU doctors and nurses.

Sure, it's just a coincidence that the crisis and slump have all happened since this Brexit was decided on. And it's just a trifling matter that the government still has no answers on how to organize the exit. If you think it's bad now, just wait and see how much worse it's going to get after.Hot_Pink_Urinal_Mint wrote:If the exit hasn't happened, how can you blame Brexit?logos wrote: Inflation, unemployment , crisis in all sectors employing qualified foreign labour, starting with that inefficient NHS Brits think so highly of, that's been hemorrhaging EU doctors and nurses.

It doesn't get much better than this for Brits. A heat wave, the football team in the semi's and a hard Brexit back on the cards.
Keep the good times rolling.

The EU has severely underestimated the stubbornness and pig headedness of the British people.
They could have prevented the referendum by giving Cameron some meaningful concessions, and they could have got a soft Brexit by learning from the Cameron mistake and cutting May some slack, but their power and arrogance once again got the better of them again.
Now they are probably going to be facing a Tory party with hardcore leave voters in the cabinet and a British populace in the mood for waving flags on the back of a royal wedding, heat wave and world cup run.
It's the perfect storm. Bye bye EU. Forget a soft Brexit, right now the Tories could probably win a referendum proposing the occupation of Brussels.

One thing that the recent political has taught me is that most news is "Fake News",Lucky Lucan wrote: Sure, it's just a coincidence that the crisis and slump have all happened since this Brexit was decided on. Yeah, the economy is booming, the pound is at an all time high and the government has everything under control, anyone who says otherwise is preaching fake news.

You’re absolutely right. Actually you should change the ‘most’ to ‘all’.BillyB wrote:One thing that the recent political has taught me is that most news is "Fake News",Lucky Lucan wrote: Sure, it's just a coincidence that the crisis and slump have all happened since this Brexit was decided on. Those Thai boys in the cave - actors. Just done for the clicks.
England aren’t in the WC Semis - they didn’t even qualify for the finals.
And you don’t want to hear the reality behind the Royal Wedding.
What you mean is that, ‘any news that doesn’t fit with my narrow world view’ is hashtag fakenews. Correct?

Read what I said.
"Facts" reported in the Guardian are different than the "Facts" reported in the Telegraph, which are different than . . . {other papers}.
I was not aware that England are already in the finals, they still need to qualify in two days time ffs.
