Maybe not the toughest.
We just think we are - and often that’s enough

We're no tougher or less tough than anyone else. That video almost looked set-up but could just be some clueless teenagers in hoodies chancing their arms and then encountering someone who didn't find them scary. They would probably have smacked him in the head with a hammer if he was a bit nearer their age. Unless you have amazing martial arts skills I don't advise acting tough to anyone waving a sawn-off or claw hammer around until they let their guard down.

The only guy who ever broke a rib on me was a Irish fucker from Belfast...his fists were like mallets.
So, I say yes....one of the reasons I keep LL as a friend, one of the few guys I know who will back up his crap with an iron bar. S'truth.

Half my family are Irish. They are all fighters, apart from my nan and aunt who are nuns.
I’m a 6 stone weakling but I’m very fast. So you’ll have to catch me first LL.

I wouldn't say toughest necessarily - but the most easily pushed from zero to full scale snarling rabid badger, zombie eye bulging, "I'll fight ye foret", beserkers. And usually over something as small as spilling 0.00000000000001 litres of beer. The ability to get to that level of aggression in such a short space of time is clearly an advantage, to be sure.

That’s an interesting perception, it’s not one I would have expected people to hold. I think Irish folk are generally pretty relaxed. Forthright, but relaxed - it can be hard to get them motivated enough to care.Spigzy wrote:I wouldn't say toughest necessarily - but the most easily pushed from zero to full scale snarling rabid badger, zombie eye bulging, "I'll fight ye foret", beserkers. But when their buttons get pushed they can explode pretty spectacularly and they don’t often back down even against much bigger opposition.
I’d say that’s true. That’s how I am anyway!

Never realized there were this many Micks in this forum. Does drinking a Guinness count?

There you go with your derogatory, xenophobic comments again... So hurtful.Hanno wrote:Never realized there were this many Micks in this forum. Does drinking a Guinness count?
I thought you might have been more careful after your recent big huff.
Does driving a Volkswagen make you German?
Guinness draught isn’t available in Cambodia and no self respecting Paddy would drink it out of bottles or can.
