Ryder Cup 2018
I love this tournament for some reason. Sometimes the fans and sometimes the players don't behave themselves, but still I always look forward to it. The US team are the clear favourites, obviously, but sometimes European teams provide us with an upset.

Can't wait for tomorrow's action. If I wanted to to have a small punt, I wouldn't mind a couple of hundred on Europe to lift the trophy at odds of about 11/8. Probably get 6/4 if I shopped around. The course looks interesting - plenty of water traps around. Some debate over who it will suit the most.

Anyway, hope it's a good 'un!

Along with the Football World Cup is my favourite sporting competition.
Probably prefer the Ryder Cup due to variety of competition and also the relatively short competition time.
Let’s get some blue on that board.

The US 3-1 up after the morning fourballs, but Europe going well, albeit early days, in the afternoon foursomes. At last, after a miserable time so far, Rory sinks a putt. It's hotting up!

Well let’s focus on the positives for the USA team.
That’s quite a fetching navy golf shirt the team are sporting.

This is bubbling along nicely. Fleetwood and Molinari have been stars. I think Poulter has been the catalyst though.
But as much as Eur team has done well, I can’t help think that USA are losing it rather than Eur winning it.

Man to man the US team is stronger. Significantly so.Miguelito wrote:Think they can come back from 4 down today?ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:This is bubbling along nicely. Fleetwood and Molinari have been stars. I think Poulter has been the catalyst though.

But they are absolutely crap at playing in a team.
I’d expect USA to win the singles but it will need people like Patrick Reed (who has been absolute dung), Tiger and, Dustin Johnson to pick up their games significantly.
I think they’ll win the singles but I reckon 4 points is too much to make up.
USA have to win 8 of the 12 singles games to retain the trophy. Whereas 4 wins and a draw is enough for Europe...

Although the USA won the first hole, Rory is now roaring. The greens are much quicker today and so far, everyone has hit the fairway off the first tee.

I'm afraid I haven't. I did put up a stream a while back, but edited it out because of problems keeping it going. Skysports are very effective at closing down illegal streams. Now, I'm relying on text commentary from the Guardian.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:My stream has died.
Any tips on where to stream it?
This might work for a while:

This could be tight.
As I thought team USA showing very strongly in the singles.
Some unexpected scoring so far though - Fleetwood getting duffed, spieth getting duffed...

I think it'll be won for Europe by the time Molinari beats dear old Leftie (Phil Mickelson).
As an insurance policy against that, Stenson looks nailed on to beat Bubbles.
I think that's enough for Europe, now.

You might be right but if Rahm can hold on for a point it will be massive.springrain wrote:I think it'll be won for Europe by the time Molinari beats dear old Leftie (Phil Mickelson).

Poulter has just gone 2 up against DJ with 3 to play! That is amazing against the world no 1.
Stenson is 3 up and it looks like his point won’t be needed.
