UK political shitshow
The UK government has murdered and terrorized orders of magnitude more people than the IRA ever did. At least the IRA had a noble goal of liberating their island from imperialists and occupiers. Native Americans and the Irish nation have enjoyed good relations since the 19th century. On the other hand, Ulster Scots were so bad that most Native Americans sided with the English during the Revolutionary War because being a subject of Her Majesty was preferable to the prospect of living under the Presbyterian yoke.

I personally don't think much of Corbyn, he doesn't have the experience, but tbh he has been vilified by the lapdog media
I remember the head of the armed forces stating he wouldn't accept Corbyn...and the papers thought nothing of it. In a democracy, a general can imply a coup by stating he won't accept a democratic process?
And still have a job the next day?
You blithering idiot!
(Lest there be any confusion - and 'slavedog' is VERY confused - I am calling him a so-and-so and not 'vladimir'!)
I will clarify if challenged to do so.

But, let's clarify, once and for all, this ridiculous charge of 'Anti-semitism'. The whole concept is a nonsense. It is a concoction of the ADL which has no foundation.
There is a clear distinction between the proponents of a 'New World Order' and the 'ordinary' folk who may or may not lay claim to some form of 'Judeo-Chaldean' 'right' to occupy Palestine.
Those who dare to say anything (and I mean ANYTHING) against this NWO are immediately (and, again, without foundation) accused of you-know-what.
This is clearly absurd.
I'm afraid Great Britain is being sold down the river again. We are being divided up simply because we 'dared' to vote against being part of the global conspiracy and we have a potential leader who will actually make the fat cats pay for their indiscretions (as laid down in the Labour Manifesto ).
However, people were once fooled by Lying Idiot Blair, so I do agree to a modicum of distrust-awaiting-approval where Mr Corbyn is concerned.

Since the financial crisis major central banks have all been aligned in propping up the stock markets as a top priority by buying their own government bonds and as such lowering interest rates enabling companies that would have usually gone bust to keep borrowing, effectively creating a risk on envioronment into stocks and real estate. A following through with Brexit RIGHT NOW would fuck that up big time.Hanno wrote:So, if there is no longer a Labour Party or a Conservative Party, what happens to Brexit? Serious question? And why is Corbyn accused of anti-semitism?
I am struggling enough to understand the whole Brexit debacle and stil;l do not really understand the whole back-stop thingy, but the latest developments really have me flummoxed.
Maybe they are just stalling the inevitable.

I'd of thought the person threatening parliamentary sovereignty by unseating the prime minister in a military coup would be the traitor. It's good that we have a military and an establishment willing to act to protect the country from traitors such as Corbyn.

Interestingly, I wonder how many of you are aware that just such an attempted fascist coup was planned in the USA in 1933/4? Its plan was to seize control of the government and it was only prevented by the courage & decency of Major-General Smedley Butler, who notified FDR. FDR did... nothing in response because the financiers were the bigshots of USA capitalism.
Of course, if you go online to check it, the cover-up sites such as Wiki-let's-hide-the-truth-pedia will claim it's just a 'conspiracy', but we have Maj.Gen Butler's testimony, under subpoena, to prove it.

'Hello, shoooz. Sorry, but I'm going to stand on you again!'
I'd have thought I'd be more like Rick. Perhaps Viv was a bit too violent, though.
Seriously, It's great that this forum provides for good discussion. If it seems like I appear to see devils in every corner, it's because there are!
You can see the same tactics used again and again. 'Scorched Earth' policy was used by William I; it was repeated in the Boer Wars ... and by Saddam Hussein ...; before the French Revolution, there were knackered peasants, bad harvests, a rising middle class, an unpopular 'first lady' and threats of war & revolution in the background; before the Russian Revolution, there were knackered peasants, bad harvests ..... (the rising middle class were the Kulaks, so despised and ruthlessly dealt with by Stalin.)
Anyway, there are a number of posters who are fed up of people being misled all the time. We should all meet up, but it seems some are in PP, some in SHV and some in SR. It would be great if we all met up sometime to compare notes.
Back to the thread, aren't you cheesed off with what's happening to our country, Rob?

I agree, this Conservative government is a shambles and has done a piss poor job of handling this. Actually they Tory government is so fucking dim, you could process film in the Cabinet room.
As least BREXIT will bring the end to the conservative party as we know it.

“Distinctly miffed” seems like it could be literally translated to “quite fucking pissed off”.
I'm cheesed off at our elites. I just want them to stop using taxpayer dollars to murder people overseas and I want them to stop flooding my country with immigrants.springrain wrote:'Hello, shoooz. Sorry, but I'm going to stand on you again!'

Personally, I think Stalin is a complicated figure. On the one hand, he murdered more than a million Russians and Tatars and Caucasians. On the other hand, he turned a "mangy Oriental rabble" into one of the most powerful fighting forces this planet has ever seen and he gave the white man the biggest and most well deserved kick up the ass since Genghis Khan. He also helped purge the Bolsheviks of their worst elements and helped reign in some of the more egregious excesses of the early Bolsheviks. The renegade Trotsky blamed the failure of communism in Russia on its barbaric Asiatic population.
Smedley Butler was a Pensylvanian crackpot and although there were a few American fascists like Pelley and his Silver Shirts, they were not nearly as powerful as the communists who held many prominent positions in the government. The Roosevelt administration was behind the farcical 1944 Sedition Trial so I don't know why you would think that Roosevelt was a fascist sympathizer.
