UK political shitshow
Gotta admit that multi party democracy can be way more entertaining than the same old dudes for decades.
8 Labour MPs and 3 Tories leaving and joining forces and one making borderline racist comments on live tv within hours.
And Derek Hatton is back in......
Where's Malcolm Tucker when you need him?

So the Labour centrists are leaving to create a new party. You could say "they’re putting the bland back together”.

So, if there is no longer a Labour Party or a Conservative Party, what happens to Brexit? Serious question? And why is Corbyn accused of anti-semitism?
I am struggling enough to understand the whole Brexit debacle and stil;l do not really understand the whole back-stop thingy, but the latest developments really have me flummoxed.

When everything else fails, the socialist/commie/anti-Semite labels are bandied about.
It also validates the new party as knights in shining armour.
I personally don't think much of Corbyn, he doesn't have the experience, but tbh he has been vilified by the lapdog media
I remember the head of the armed forces stating he wouldn't accept Corbyn...and the papers thought nothing of it. In a democracy, a general can imply a coup by stating he won't accept a democratic process?
And still have a job the next day?

It's good that we have a military and an establishment willing to act to protect the country from traitors such as Corbyn.vladimir wrote:When everything else fails, the socialist/commie/anti-Semite labels are bandied about.

Having dissimilar views does not make one a traitor. I am damn glad that in our respective countries the military is controlled by the government and not vice versa.slavedog wrote:It's good that we have a military and an establishment willing to act to protect the country from traitors such as Corbyn.vladimir wrote:When everything else fails, the socialist/commie/anti-Semite labels are bandied about.

He met with the IRA at the height of their terrorism campaign and as far as I know has to this day refused to condemn the bombing of innocent civilians. That alone is enough for me, although their are lots of other cases one could mention, his support of Arab terrorists and desire to see the UK economy based on that of Valenzuela being a couple of the more obvious ones.Hanno wrote:Having dissimilar views does not make one a traitor. That might be the case for some countries; I'm quite happy that the ultimate authority of the UK armed forces is with the Commander-in-chief Queen Elizabeth II so in the extremely unlikely event that the communist sandal wearing garden gnome gets into power, she can ultimately still arrest him for whichever indictable offence he cares to make first. I'd hope that would be near immediate as our Trotskyite friend attempts to appoint this abomination, Dianne Abbott, as Deputy PM or any cabinet post for that matter simply on the basis that he banged it once upon a time. It gives me no pleasure to say as a Brit I have zero confidence in a single politician in the House of Commons as it stands - blue or red. Frankly the country should return to a monarchy whilst Lizzy still has some marbles & the whole damn thing reconstituted. We could also invade the USA again (just a small cheeky one), just to let them validate their 2nd amendment argument & continue murdering each other in droves.

Corbyn is a massive anti-war campaigner so I don't know where the idea he favours terrorism comes from. I guess it's some tabloid bullshit that people who struggle with nuance believe. It's about as believable as the anti-semite smears that are thrown around without evidence. The guy was literally arrested whilst protesting apartheid S Africa so let's all assume he's a racist.

It seems that at the moment all it takes is label someone an anti-semite or a sexual abuser in lieu of serious arguments,

I quite like Jeremy Corbyn and I hear he’s taken this silly and incorrect anti-Semite handle very seriously.
I fact, I understand he's keen to move on from this, and has asked his shadow cabinet to come up with a "final solution".

1. Tell us which Irish group May brought in to save her butt, again?slavedog wrote:He met with the IRA at the height of their terrorism campaign and as far as I know has to this day refused to condemn the bombing of innocent civilians.
2. Has May condemned the Saudis for bombing a Yemeni school bus yet?
Are you getting the point, or do I have to resort to crayons?
