Cricket World Cup 2019
NZ clinical with bat and ball, SL somewhat lacklustre but one of my fave teams.
Wont be watching any 'must win at any cost' Aust. games, in fact Smith and Warner shouldn't even be there. That said, I hope the booing doesn't feature in any more of their games.
Edit: I can't think I've ever heard booing at a cricket match before - oh wait! I have, when
Trevor Chappell used the underarm delivery many years ago.

Stuart Broad gets booed quite a lot by the Aussies.kinard wrote: ↑Sun Jun 02, 2019 4:26 amNZ clinical with bat and ball, SL somewhat lacklustre but one of my fave teams.

I reckon Bangladesh have posted a decent total, here (330-6).
Should S. Africa lose (and it is a big 'should') they will be in some trouble. I mean, they might have to win 6 out of their last 7 group games - or take out 3 out of 4 of W. Indies, India, Australia & NZ.
Just surmising, but I reckon 330-6 is an above par score, given their (Bangla's) bowling options and the puddingy pitch it seems to be. I reckon their bowling outweighs their batting, so they are in with a shout. A decent shout. Oh, well, we shall see,
And, there's no Hashim Amla ...

This is why I love this format, anything can happen. Bangla often underestimated and good on them, a win by 26 runs.
SA against the wall alright, they come up against India(#1) next and the Kiwis to face the Banglas.

Pakistan setting England a 'decent' total - 348-8.
This might well be a decent total, but I feel, with England's fire-power of the last few years, they should win with comparative ease.
It is at Trent Bridge (where I grew up watching cricket), where records have been set and broken in high-scoring games.
So, I reckon England will win (with, perhaps, the first century of the tournament). But this game is a great leveller. We shall see ....

A thriller, but England fall short. 2 centuries not enough for this record chase.
Well done Pakistan

Yep, aren't Pakistan adorably unpredictable?
They're actually one of my favourite teams to watch, even going back to the days of Sarfraz, Imran, Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Mushtaq Mohammed, Majid Khan, Asif Iqbal, Intikhab et al. (Even though Javed Miandad was a nasty piece of work, whom I still reckon to have been behind the murder of Bob Woolmer.)
Anyway, let's see if Sri Lanka can pull themselves out of the doldrums.

And Shoaib Akhtar.
It's all going wrong for Sri Lanka with the bat, they have a very mediocre side presently, while Afghanistan continue on from the last WC, punching above their weight.

We're not in tears, actually. Joshua lost, but he will be back. Pakistan beat England and well done to them. But we're not crying - we were beaten on the day - that's sport. Credit to the winners and try to improve in the next game.
