Are you a Batsman or a bowler or an allrounder? You actually look a bit like Chris Gayle , just not as dark.batshitcrazyweirdo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 2:12 pmNo, it's not. It's West Indies. Yes, he played club for Northern Bastards and was best suited at 'silly mid off'.

Eoin Morgan's 'back spasms' seem to have spread to his arms. He has hit 11 sixes so far in an amazing innings. Joe Root, meanwhile, is strolling along at the sedate pace of exactly 100 runs/100 balls.
England 300-2 after 43.5 overs, with Morgan on 104 & YJR on 74. The partnership is currently worth 138. Should be a big win (as anticipated) which will boost their net run rate immensely.
Has it been a bit of a one-sided World Cup. with the lesser-fancied teams outclassed?
*EDIT*
He has just equalled the ODI Record for the most individual sixes in an innings. Just over 3 overs to go. Root just gone for 88. Can Captain Morgan set a new record?
He can! New World Record!
And gone next ball.

Ridiculous innings from Morgan!
Ali with a great cameo 31 from 9 to get England to just below 400 (397), the best score for them in World cups.
Poor old Rashid with the worst figures in world cup history. 0/110 from 9 overs.
Should increase the NRR further.

NZ v Sth Africa. I expect NZ to take the win,... but , Edgbaston is a brown pitch, NZ bowlers enjoy the green pitch, as they have in their previous games, This may cause them problems. also the stats don't look good for NZ, lost twice before to SA on this ground. It could be close.

I fancy NZ for this one. SA have been pretty appalling so far. The toss could be important here though, especially with the moisture in the pitch.Hanno wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2019 2:55 pmGo Proteas!!!!Jep wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2019 2:26 pmNZ v Sth Africa. Let's hope the England weather plays no part in the game. Rain is forecasted,ReasonstobefearfulP3 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2019 4:56 pmI fancy NZ for this one. SA have been pretty appalling so far. At 210-5 after 45 overs, it might look easily like NZ's game - but it is a sticky pitch, as one so often finds in England at this time of the year (greasy & 'holds up' without really coming onto the bat) so this could be closer than many might imagine.
I reckon if the Saffers had a fully fit Dale Steyn to call upon, they might have fancied their chances here.
They will need 240, I reckon, for it be 'game on,' but they might even struggle to make that.
Anyone else reckon a close game might be on the cards?
NZ have bowled really well - the ball hasn't really come on and they have taken full advantage.
They should win from here; but is the pitch too treacly for them to get stuck in? (Oh, shucks, I really didn't mean that pun!)

Should be close but I think NZ will nick it. I think they are slightly more used to the conditions, and have a better batting line up.
Around 6/7 down with 2 overs to spare

Edit: Ethical question raised Why didn't Williamson walk?
