The centre of the local market town has changed an awful lot.
Lot's of morbidly obese C2DEs riding around on their scooters. Did a £250 shop in Sainsburys this morning. When the scooter ridrr behind realised I didn't have a loyalty card, she had no hesitation asking if she could have my points, made her day when I agreed.
Banks don't have cashiers anymore. I went to deposit £1,000 this morning and was guided towards a machine.
Lots of charity shops, but picked up some good kids books for a quid or two each (would cost ten bucks in Monument)
People drive crazy here, 40 mph seems very fast through a town. Always takes a few days to get used to it.
Beer seems reasonable, still about £4 a pint.
Supermarkets great, so much better than when I lived here. Good quality and cheaper than Cambodia.
What aboot the patter, mate? See, yer tryin to cheat us Changes Back Home, cause you winny say the patter. Or did you just avoid every single conversation in every single pub? Don't believe. Spit, mister!
