Changes back home
Electric scooters (and Segways) are banned in the UK, both the road and pavement. (A woman just died on one).
The brakes are totally inadequate on those silly wheels with anyone who weighs more than a bag of sugar.
EBikes are not banned.
Those ride sharing bicycles that most countries have have mostly been scrapped. Singapore being one notable example - bloody things dumped everywhere - and Australia I believe.
I think that if they are docked types it’s ok.

The inventor of the Segway died on a Segway, when he drove it off a cliff.

Sleep, those little slices of death — how I loathe them.

They have been banned for years. As they have an engine, they are classed as motor vehicles and cannot be ridden on pavements, and as they are not licensed, they are banned from roads. They're allowed on private property only.
I suspect that is an old picture.

Haha - my money’s on Playboy
Cops are also allowed to drive cars really fast and run red lights and even ram naughty people. Does that mean it’s legal for everyone else to do it?
They’ve trialed them in beach towns but there’s nothing recent.
It’s written in law. Illegal apart from on private land.

Imported beer selection is definatly shrinking here in the states Migs. A bit sad to see. Craft beer dominates the shelves here in the Pacific NW. I'll happily pay$3 for a large bottle of Newcastle Brown Ale versus $4 to 9 for some craft beer.
Freedom is not a state. It is an act. It is not some enchanted garden perched high on a distant plateau.. Freedom is a continuous action we all must take, and each generation must do its part to create an even more fair, more just society.-John Lewis

When I'm here for a while I start to think "oh, Khéma bread isn't that bad; Eric Kayser is OK". And then that first baguette in Paris always ruins everything for a good six months here.newnewnewbie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2019 8:34 amFat people, electric scooters, .. but the bread, ah the bread..
