yep, this is the biggest joke out there - Vote Liberal Dem to ensure democracy does NOT get upheld!¬McPhisto wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 7:28 amThe BBC just had an interview with Jo Swinson, the Lib Dems leader from Scotland, who insisted that a second Leave/Remain referendum was absolutely necessary. When then asked "if the Leave side again won that new referendum would she then support Brexit?" "No. I was elected to ensure Remain and I won't change my opinion on that", she answered.
I never voted (as I may have previously noted) because I forgot/couldn’t be bothered/not interested as I no longer live there or intend to go back.
However, I’ve never really like the whole EU regulations thing and I’m pleased we are leaving only to see what really happens. Geographical the UK (Or Ireland for that matter) isn’t part of Europe and not should we be politically.
If it causes issues visiting/living in Europe for UK citizens I think it’s a price worth paying. (Especially if you have dual nationality - UK/EU).
It’s not hard to get a French, Spanish or Irish passport.

Throughout this whole Brexit fiasco, Corbyn is the only leader that has had any integrity. He has always wanted to honour the democratic referendum, he has always been in favour of making a sensible deal that won't totally destroy the economy, and then put that deal to the public. You can't get more democratic than that. It seems that the tories would rather crash out as it's in their best interests to do so, and, quite frankly, fuck everyone else: businesses, hospitals, schools etc. Quite horrific, if nothing new.TheGrimReaper wrote: ↑Fri Jul 26, 2019 3:24 pmNow that is a joke.
John Major, Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, David Cameron and Theresa May. You cannot count Boris as he has not been in power long enough.
Vlad the Impaler would win that contest, so hardly a resounding endorsement.
I love the way that anti Boris posters get their knockers in a twist. They cannot accept that that they could be wrong and that this charismatic politician may be the breath of fresh air we need. At the least he is Pro British which is far more than Corbyn can claim. Thank God for a Politically Incorrect politician.
Despite the BBC trying to spin it otherwise, Boris was a very successful Mayor of London, inheriting a complete dogs dinner from Red Ken.

Politics needs more characters and less spineless pigs with their snouts in the trough.
My take on this is that if a few wealthy people and their misguided sycophants want to destroy the UK economy through self interest then I say let's do it in a just and moral way, and bring in huge taxes on the wealthy. They are all leaving in droves with their businesses anyway through mainly Tory policies (Brexit). Labour government, justice and equality. Let's get back to it Britain!

If you live and work/retired in most EU countries you can apply for citizenship.
pew, pew, pew, pew!
It looks like you haven’t read your own sources YTP because in each country it looks like the key way to get citizenship is through ancestry. There is nothing in those articles to back up your assertion that those who live or work in Europe can get an EU passport. Of course they can apply for citizenship. I can apply to marry Natalie Imbruglia. That doesn’t mean it will be granted.
The best they can hope for is leave to remain and even that is a stretch.

Anyway, back to BoJo. I quite like the colour he brings back to politics but he is of course a lying charlatan who has always been more interested in being PM than Brexit, a position he truly doesn’t convince me he believes in himself.
He knows he can’t deliver Brexit. No new deal will be forthcoming and Conservative rebels will block a no deal exit, effectively bringing the government down.
Then a GE will mean it’s all to play for.

I almost choked on my breakfast laughing at this one.Chneseexpat wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 1:26 pmThroughout this whole Brexit fiasco, Corbyn is the only leader that has had any integrity.
Before making such a wild sweeping statement, you should look into Corbyn's past very closely.
This is a man who supports terrorist groups and by any standards is anti Jewish. (I wont say antisemitic because in the real sense this applies to others as well).
As for your other comments...Not even worth replying to.
Jeremy Corbyn, a man who has real integrity? I think not.
Sleep, those little slices of death — how I loathe them.

Idle rich? Yes. Late breakfast? No. I was just delayed in posting because the servants wanted paying for some strange reason.Chneseexpat wrote: ↑Sat Jul 27, 2019 3:08 pmBreakfast? @3pm? You sound like one of those idle rich that will be first up against the wall.

Danish newspapers are calling him a disaster. Which is usually a good indicator that its a good leader. So I'm optimistic.
I'm encouraged by what I have seen so far. And, yes, it's nice to see a bit of colour back in politics.
I don't know that that many MPs will be willing to block a deal (even if they can, and I'm not convinced of that. It's law that we will leave and surely law trumps parliamentary procedure?). MPs being self-serving will, on the whole, do what gives them the best chance of keeping their seat, and few will want to chance a GE and risk getting the boot from the Brexit Party or Lib Dems. They have the next few weeks to contemplate this.
I reckon Boris is going to get it through.
