KFC to offer plant based “chicken” nuggets
KFC has partnered with beyond meat to try out a plant based chicken nugget. Now I know there are some hardcore carnivores here, and I know that nothing can replace a rare filet mignon, but surely veggie nuggets can be ok??

There is hardly any meat in the 'real' ones, mostly corn and vegetable starch/flour, bleached white flour,
Here is the McD breakdown.. Kfc does not offer this, but .. same same.
Chicken Mcnuggets
Ingredients: White Boneless Chicken, Water, Vegetable Oil (Canola Oil, Corn Oil, Soybean Oil, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil), Enriched Flour (Bleached Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Bleached Wheat Flour, Yellow Corn Flour, Vegetable Starch (Modified Corn, Wheat, Rice, Pea, Corn), Salt, Leavening (Baking Soda, Sodium Aluminum Phosphate, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Calcium Lactate, Monocalcium Phosphate), Spices, Yeast Extract, Lemon Juice Solids, Dextrose, Natural Flavors.
Contains: Wheat.
Cooked in the same fryer that we use for Buttermilk Crispy Chicken which contains a milk allergen.

I'm assuming that' a British filet mignon, a French one I suggest you don't take rare ...

Ftfy.
Last time I looked in the UK filet mignon still had nothing to do with beef and an entrée was still a way into a meal. Nor was cheese offered as an appetizer, as it is now at Armand's. The vulgarians are at the gates.
^ Like button, true true - British is of course a simple fillet steak. Sorry MaxB.

Absolutely no.
To supply the world with veggie food only would require all of the Amazonian rain forests to be cleared and turned to agriculture.
They should concentrate on insects which pound for pound have more protein.
Sleep, those little slices of death — how I loathe them.
Aren’t the biggest quantities put first so therefore there’s more meat than anything else.newnewnewbie wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 9:19 amThere is hardly any meat in the 'real' ones, mostly corn and vegetable starch/flour, bleached white flour,

Besides which it doesn’t give percentages so doesn’t mean anything.

I heard there were lines for it and it totally sold out.
As long as it’s not more expensive I think it will take off - it always pretty mysterious what’s in those nuggets anyway.

I think fast food chicken nuggets are usually 99% sinew and other inedibles, at prep no?

Do you know what? It makes much more sense to me imagining our cavemen ancestors leisurely browsing around for bugs to eat, than it does them, stupidly hunting for mammals that are much more agile and quicker than them.TheGrimReaper wrote: ↑Thu Aug 29, 2019 2:24 pmAbsolutely no.

Did you know that the Chinese have a fondness for eating earthworms, jellyfish and geckos? Yatingpom, tell me its not true?
Oh fuck, i'm on a roll with posting today.
Just getting over the flu in windy coastal Ireland, and paying €1500 for car insurance. The fuckers.

€1500? That's what the EU does for you. It would only be £1,365 in the UK.spitthedog wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 6:36 pm

Glad you are over the flu but you can keep your wind, we get enough of that on the East coast.
Now then...Bugs. When I lived in Oman I witnessed Gods answer to dealing with locusts. The Omanies would rush out with their plastic bags and scoop them up. Then it was BBQ time. They actually tasted good when BBQ'd and dipped in honey.
