I think the strong winds play a big factor in the lack of trees in Ireland.
All the little saplings get blown over above a certain level. That's maybe why you see trees growing in the sheltered valley's. It's a damp windswept mossy place Ireland.
County Kerry is one beautiful place anyway, regardless of trees. All those purple flowery patches and boggy ground surrounding the rocks in the mountains.
My little rice wog stopped by the side of the road to pick wild watercress in the ditch today.
The same stuff we used to buy in Chinooky.
