Cambodian doctors and treatments
Cambodian doctors, especially in the bush are shockers.
The more time one lives with cambodians the more one despairs of their ignorance.
Our daughter has a cold or the flu.I have had a shocking flu for over a week and I have been taking cold and flu tablets and drinking a lot of water and other fluids.
Our daughter has a fever which comes and goes but she has a much milder version of the flu than me or another mate with the same condition.
Yesterday the bush doctor gave her two injections-what could he possible inject her with that would change anything?
This morning the crew were up early to take daughter to have a blood test-a peenut cheeum.
What the hell for?
I think that I have dissuaded them.
Obviously the possibility of a dirty needle comes up,got to be a bigger risk than living with the flu for a week or two.
If they come home with a handful of bullshit tablets from the pharmacy i will spew.

Shame on you, you know better. You let the bush doctor touch or treat your child without knowing his competency. There are some good Khmer doctors, but not many I would want to treat my child. Some of the doctors that work with Gloria are ok.
There is also a good looking nurse that works there.

If I knew for certain that a person was coming to my house with the intent of doing me good, I would run for my life HDT

This is the height of irresponsibility. If she needs a doctor's attention, get her out of the bush and to a real doctor - whether that be Gavin Scott, SOS, Naga or whoever. Do not let the Cambodian quacks inject her with anything or give her any medicines that you do not fully understand. You are playing with your daughter's life.

The cups are ok, I don't think they do any harm and they're good if you have a newbie friend in the far east for the first time.
Natural healers can probably help in the case of broken bones, mild illnesses, maybe temporary (drug induced) mental problems by applying natural cures.
I'm pretty sure injecting people with whatever or dispensing tablets shouldn't be considered natural cures.

It's amazing anybody lives to 60 in this country without first being poisoned, whether by bush doctors or local quacks.
Meat. 'Snot' is literally 'nose shit' in Khmer. They also have 'ear shit'. In fact everything that is expelled from the body is 'shit'.
