Royal Rattanaak Hospital ?
The cost of medicine in Cambodia has tripled in the last few years. 3 years ago one could get a new mitrol valve replacement for 2,000 dollars. That included all pre-op expense, the surgeons fee (leading cardiologist in Cambodia) hospital stay and post-op care for six months including all medicine. Today having a child can cost you 2,000 dollars.
If I knew for certain that a person was coming to my house with the intent of doing me good, I would run for my life HDT

This pretty much mirrors the practice in the better private hospitals in Bangkok. I've used Bangkok General a number of times, including surgery. You can visit a specialist for a consult for 1000 bht, but there ends up being a 300 to 400% markup on any prescriptions which you have to fill with the hospital pharmancy. I've often wondered if you could just have the doc write you a script and fill it at an outside pharmacy. I doubt they'd agree, as I think a great deal of their profit margin depends on the inflated price of the meds. They are fairly expensive but this tends to come from the extras rather than the doctor fees which are quite reasonable. Usually prescribe too many and too expensive medicines.
