Do drug users change their guesthouse rooms a lotl?
As Shizzle points out, staff seemed to be keeping tabs on him, maybe because he was driving them crazy changing rooms every day. It's pretty weird that the management of the hotel entered his locked room out of concern for his well being only 7 1/2 hours after they last saw him.

Not unusual for meth-heads to act erratically.
Three drug related deaths in such a time frame would possibly indicate drugs are available on the premises or nearby.
I call for a full and thorough investigation into this man's death immediately!

Good luck complaining about anything in a nation where the entire populace are mentally hardwired not to accept or concede blame or responsibility for their own errors/failings/fuck ups.I stayed in Howntown Hotel for 4nights and on the last day, i found out my money has been stolen. The staffs even accused me of losing the money outside and blamed them for it when i am certain as i checked my money before i left the hotel.

I could start a union...BirdBrain wrote:I'm wondering if there is any need to check if these people where known drug addicts before checking in to these hotels.
KiR, sounds like you need a holiday

An Englishman died in Siem Reap last week, also nothing about it in the papers.

As in the drugged post I ask why there is not a dedicated sticky thread with lists of disreputable places to go or dodgy hotels/GH's. If they get better/safer, put that in too!. If the OP on that post was joking why did he bother to put all the facts in, nearly all the replies just took the piss, where myth until proven should have been regarded as a possibility of truth in it. If you had genuinely been drugged and robbed, would you want fellow expats to show some concern or just laugh at you.? I don't think these places are likely to sue and if expat run, maybe a negative would prompt improvement?
I have no sympathy for high class drug users and the states they get into, but most just need help, not easy to get here on any scale it seems. And with local wankers outside these places selling shit hard to avoid.
The first I hear about a robbery or death, murder or accident is from gossip and it's usually blown out of proportion and often causes unecessary concern. Of course I could always just rely on the good old 'Police Blotter' to tell me the correct facts!
Would it really? Thats my point, at least some would know where to avoid, when I go PP I haven't a clue so pick any cheap place for 2 or 3 nights. Up to now I've been lucky I reckon!keeping_it_riel wrote:If the latest dead Englishman had been a 440 reader, it might just have saved his life.
Check this 440 thread from 2009. Similar scenario and most probably the same cause of death.

Because they aren't willing to volunteer the names.Juan King wrote:As in the drugged post I ask why there is not a dedicated sticky thread with lists of disreputable places to go or dodgy hotels/GH's. 'I don't think these places are likely to sue and if expat run, maybe a negative would prompt improvement?'
But if they do, you'll give 440 the funds, right?

I have an inkling that the guy who died in Hometown hotel may have been drinking in my place.
The dates, place of residence, name and border entry points tally.
He was kinda sad and desperate with some shaggy dog story about needing to borrow $60 the last time I saw him. I didn't loan him anything, naturally.

I would wish them luck trying to sue in Cambodia! All I'm asking if something bad happens and beyond reasonable doubt- true, also that it could maybe stop the ame thing happening next time somewhere, to have a place to report it would be good . I would not like to think my friends back home would not find out what and where happened to me if the worst happend, and judging by some recent posts, bad shit happens!vladimir wrote:'I don't think these places are likely to sue and if expat run, maybe a negative would prompt improvement?'
