Importing cars in Cambo the third

Postby v12 » Fri Sep 16, 2011 10:39 pm

Several threads about importing luxury cars in Cambodia, even a BubbleT promise to post the one and only truth within a few hours some three years ago, though still no real figures but mostly suggestions to leave this to others.

So maybe someone is able to solve this for once and forever:
- How much import duties ?
- What other taxes to get a legal non-void license plate ?
- Is there a % and/or handling difference between importing a new or used car ?
- What's the base of all these taxes ? Year of make, value abroad+shipping, reference value in Cambo ?
- Does the tax/duties stuff depend on the type of fuel ? Petrol, diesel, Liquid Gaz.
- Does the tax/duties stuff depend on damage to the car ?
- Does the tax/duties stuff depend on the engine power or cylinder displacement volume ?
- Does the tax/duties stuff depend on installed turbo engine ?

Or maybe just the Xtal globe ?

Thx.

Very straightforward it seems.
A shipping agent can give you the table of import duties which depend on engine capacity and the cars age.

Would love to get a copy of that table of charges, so many people ask this question, how much to bring stuff over, but nobody can quote prices.
