Credit Card Terminal

Postby soyoung123 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 2:27 am

For those with a business, do you accept Credit Cards in person and what company and terminal do you use for processing. Could you give me an idea of rates too...we used bank of america in the states if it matters but can definitely switch to local banks if they offer any service.

Thanks

Since u have no responses, I'll just let u know... Seems several smaller places now take visa/mastercard, but typically charge 2-3%. I also noticed their machines have many different bank names on them(one name per machine), like Canadia, ANZ, etc....

Thanks for the response. I know this forum doesn't get as much attention.

Sounds good...glad to know Cambodian banks are offering the services and will investigate.

If anyone else has thoughts it'd be appreciated!

My friend at ABA Bank has some information.

The way I understand it is the bank will supply a wireless EFTPOS terminal on a commission contract of minimum 2.66% of credit/debit card sales for the length of the contract.
This terminal has PIN and swipe card security.
You pay airtime costs (like mobile rates) and buy consumables (print paper rolls)
You will need an ABA account and business registration papers but it seems a straightforward deal.

They will exchange the terminal if it is faulty at no charge.

Hope this helps
