Yamaha R1 1000cc spares

Whether you've got a Tico or a Lexus, a Dailim or a Harley, this is the forum to discuss transport in Cambodia. Where to buy it, how much to pay and what to do when the wheels fall off.

Yamaha R1 1000cc spares

Anyone know if/where one can get spare parts for a moto in PP - specifically a new ignition ['day marer'] for a Yamaha R1 1000cc made in Japan 2007 model.

On a more general note (or possibly associated), who has imported vehicle parts into Cambodia? Where did you buy from and how did you best manage to negotiate your way through customs?

I've had a lot of small parts delivered to my PO box - never had problems with collection.
Go to enthusiast forums and track down breakers/advice on parts sellers.

Cheers C2u. What's the weight limit on packages to your PO Box before they attract attention?

Had packages of well over a kilo pass straight through - not opened or messed with.

Heaviest was a gearbox bracket.

After = How it came back from the garage after a new clutch and flywheel ring gear had been fitted

I found that you can't get this part here for love nor money.
Garage denied all knowledge - thieving fkrs.

R1 that is a big bike is it yours? Seems that would be hard to ride in PP.

No, not mine. I don't even know what it looks like. I've got a student who's Cambodia's Arthur Daley asking.
