There is an Angcor beer sign over the road like an archway. Where from there ?

I've been there a few times and it's a long Island, there are at least 3 different places to take ferries to it. I didn't actually measure the distance, it was just a guess.

turn right into the first big pagoda (about 3 k from bridge) turn left and follow the river road until you come to the first ferry 1000r. on the island you have two choices go left or right and over the bridge to the next smaller but far more interesting island.
Also you have an island opposite ken Svay and a couple of islands on/in the Bassac River the first of which, Koah Anlong, is quite interesting. Just go to Ta Kmau and follow the river road until you come to Sebou (25k) and a beautiful pagoda on the left, enter and go to the back and out the gate , follow the tree lined path and you'll come to a ferry. get a ferry on the other side to Kompong Svay and follow the road on the other side back to Phnom Penh. A very nice cycle ride taking about 4 hours(70K)

What's wrong with these directions, even a Khmer could follow them!

ride bikes.

Nice that you have an opinion of the two islands, but I am looking for something
specific. Some beach like location for watersports.

The larger of the islands has a beach ( not very clean) at the top end about another 12K from the ferry.

No idea what you are on about when it comes to the good and the bad list!
