Little anecdote from yesterday: My wife was out in Kompong Speu running her cafe when she got her first whitey customers. They started by patronising the staff until she stepped forward and spoke English to them. Their first question to her, "How much do you make a day here?" This was followed with a proposition, "Come with us to Sihanoukville for 3 days and we'll pay you double what you make here". Her response - "You're over from Thailand, aren't you?" "Yes, how did you know?" "Live in Pattaya, right?". They were so impressed with her psychic abilities that they gave her a tip of 500 - riel. I'm glad she can treat those shits with humour and respect; I wouldn't. However badly we may behave here, we'll never sink to their gutter.

Wouldn't it be more accurate to think that there are plenty of Cambodian 'expats' equivalent to the 'Pattaya trash', and conversely, that there are plenty of Pattaya 'expats' which are the same as people on this board? Do people even forget that PP and Snooky are full of seedy, whoremongering types? Do people forget that there must be over 100,000 expats in Pattaya, many of whom would be normal people leading normal lives?
