T bone Tuesday at the Cavern

Tuesdays special is a char grilled 10oz Australian T-bone steak for $10, normal price is $15.

As many customers had said how tender they were I thought I'd have one. Didn't even need a knife for most of the steak. Definitely shows how Sous Vide can take a good steak and make it better. The use of a char grill is an obvious no-brainer when compared to pan fried foods. Sure people in the kitchen are complaining about the heat and the smoke.

Will be doing them again next Tuesday but in limited numbers.

Tomorrow being Tuesday is once again T-Bone Tuesday. 350gms of Aussie T-Bone Sous Vide cooked for 4 hours and then char grilled. I have mine with eggs and chips.

I had it last week and it came with mixed vegetables and a nice baked potato. The steak was really tender as is well-reported. This sous vide stuff is all new to me and I'm loving it.

Judging by dv8's comment that he has his with eggs, I'd guess they'd be open to rustling up different side dishes.

Thanks for the reply. I missed Tuesday night as I had an ABC frenzy with some customers and I was too pissed to get there. In fact, I missed most of yesterday... So, hopefully next week.

As most of the t bones are pre sold I thought it might be useful to see if anyone wants a 16oz tbone meal at $15.

T-Bone Tuesday again, freaking week went by quickly again. Also tonight we are doing:

Loaded baked potato.

$2 for the baked potato with butter and an additional 75cents for each extra topping.
Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, baked beans, mushrooms, bacon.
Or if you want it with a beef filet curry an extra $1.50

Can a steak be to tender?

Cheers,Robbie was telling me about something the Brits eat 'Toad in the Hole" sounds more like a Frog Dish but will we be seeing that on a Special ?

Wish i was in on that Discussion.Fascinating im sure. See "Toad in the Hole"was on Specials Board at Paddy Rice ,so stopped and tried. Its really Yorkshire Pudding with Sausages and Gravy! But very Nice!
