There is a giant turtle who lives in the Indian Ocean. I forget her name. Every year at the end of the wet season she slowly makes her way out of the sea to lay one gigantic egg. (It makes a fantastic omelet I hear) Due to her gargantuan size this causes negative displacement and the ocean recedes. Come the wet season she will make her way back to the murky depths and the ocean will once again rise.
