Ehh what? New teachers are observed once (within three weeks of their first term), then as long as they're not absolute gumpf they're never observed again unless by a peer (in which case said peer can decline the request) - never heard any different from anyone else.

Anyway, the point about the book seemingly got to the director without me having to mention anything - all Cambodian staff are required to hand any of their own materials in for checking prior to usage in classrooms, hopefully that's problem solved.

The 'problem' is not solved unless my grasp of English is profoundly rooted mate. I am soooo, f$#%ing sick to death of you fools telling me it's wrong that I have concluded that ACE staff are indeed, fools.

You lot really need to either:

1. Stop thinking that you're smarter than a customer with quite a vociferously proclaimed complaint and continue to sound ostensibly foolish in riposte to his allegations

or...

2. Go back to grade 3 and start your English education again!

Tw#t!

1. Go through your own posts and check the spelling. Log out of your own eye, etc.
2. I'm glad to see that other teachers of various nationalities (who may think they are qualified, but do not meet your self-proclaimed standard) are also targets of your public outbursts.
3. You sound extremely angry a lot of the time. Is this a good quality for a teacher? I don't know, I'm not qualified, but I do need to know who to emulate.

Don't worry, be happy :D

1. Triple-checked quite some time before I posted. I am definitely correct.
2. Then we're both glad. As stated, more than enough opportunity was afforded them to speak about this privately before I posted. Their manager did not respond at all. Also, I think they're just teflers, not teachers.
3. I don't want you to try to emulate me mate. You will embarrass yourself whilst annoying me.

Congratulations, you've shown yourself up. Quite how I come across as foolish is beyond me, but regardless, continue to act a dick on the internet, it's doing you good.

Never said it was - but that wasn't your intention, otherwise why would you block it out?

Nice to see you've gone quiet now, guessing you've come down from your little beer-fueled anger-bender.

I'm very new to all this as I just visited Cambodia in March. I did meet someone inSiem Reap and have a one way ticket from LA arriving 24Jul.

I had a great tuk-tuk driver who has taught himself enough english to intrepret for me, expecially on Skype with my female friend once or twice a week.

Anyway He really wants to learn so I am paying for ACE in SM. He tested at level 4 and has a teacher from Southern California. He says the work is difficult and has lots of homework. She really presses him. He had to miss a day because he had to move and he knew he was going to hear about it!!

Just thought I'd pass it on....

Currently recruiting: http://www.tefl.com/jobs/job.html?jo_id=51548

$19-$26 an hour and, in my experience, they're a good outfit to work for. It's better if you can land one of the few salaried contracts but there are lots of good things about working at ACE. The resource centre is by far the best I've ever seen.

A few months ago I was asked to help a friend with her English homework that was attending ACE in SR. The prepared homework questions were so poorly written I could not understand 80% of them? Now I know I am not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I as sure as hell reckon who ever wrote that homework paper would not pass grade 7 here in OZ!!
Forget looking up my ip here is who I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
