Street 51 and 174. At least to find the screws. Usually a few nuts there too, so bolts might naturally be there also.

I'm guessing you mean when I'm asking a local. I've been involved in a few building projects out here, both on water and off the water, and am yet to see anyone use galvanised nails, or bolts. Haven't seen any in the markets, and in inquiring about coated nails and bolts that are rust proof, I get told that what they are using is all that is available.

I just googled it. Interesting, if a little time consuming. It can indeed be done.

Things You'll Need

200 ml glass beaker
200 ml glass flask
30 grams zinc sulfate

Instructions

1 Dump 30 grams of zinc sulfate crystals into a 200 ml glass beaker. Pour 100 ml of water into the glass beaker containing the zinc sulfate.

2 Heat the mixture until the zinc sulfate dissolves in the water, creating a solution to facilitate the galvanization process.


3 Clip the negative wire clamp to the nail and the positive clamp to a strip of zinc metal. Place the two items, with wires attached, into the zinc sulfate solution, ensuring they do not touch each other.

4 Turn on the 5-volt power source for two minutes. Turn off the power source and remove the clamped nail and zinc metal strip from the zinc sulfate solution to complete the galvanization process.

I must check out worth or wuerth,they seem unsure of their spelling.
And the website is a bit odd,with a pic of a barang up step ladder in some salubrious restaurant or hotel lobby.
I see one of the local directors is a sri Lanka-I think I met this guy at the makita shop just before I left.
An interesting chap who is building a house next to the British ambassadors house.
I must look him up when I return,it's time we had a good outlet here for fixings and tools.
