Some of you were aware that he had been in poor health for sometime, but I don't think any of us had any idea how serious it was. His sister contacted me via Facebook just now - here is her message:
I've asked her to contact me via email to get more details; in return I think the family would appreciate it if we here could organise information for a tribute re. his life here in Cambodia. Also, I don't have any contact for his business - can anyone help out my ensuring his work colleagues are informed?I think Henning would have wanted me to contact some friends he had in Cambodia. Henning died in the icu on the 13th of September at 20.25 after 6 days in the VU medisch centrum (University Hospital ) in Amsterdam en route to Germany. I was in Amsterdam to pick him up. His only friend I have ever met is a Tony who lived a short time in PP and then went back to Siem Reap. And now ofc I have found you, too. I think you would know any of Henning's friends and so could pass this on. We are trying to settle a lot of red tape here. If anyone wants to contact me, he is more than welcome to do so as any news, story, information of Henning and his daily life in Cambodia is more than welcome.
