Actually, Amazon will not ship many items to Cambodia. I use a freight forwarder to get my stuff. All dandy until 6 months ago, now they have seriously clamped down and duties have become a pain in the butt.

Who is the freight forwarder? Maybe you have problems since it comes from them?

Hi! Hikitakumori,
I Never have any problem buying stuff from amazon and Ship to Cambodia. However, I never tried storefront seller in Amazon though.
- To get item ship to you correctly, make sure that you include your mobile phone in shipping information. If it is go through Post office (If ship by USPS), that would be the fastest way to get your package as they rarely deliver your package to your address.
- Expect that your item will inspect by custom and need to pay taxes (import tax + 10% VAT) on some items when you pick up. There is also a small charge(I believe it is the service fee by post office). There is no taxes for books. For electronic equipment you need to pay (16%+10% VAT = 26% of the total item values+shipping) and you should never try shipping what they consider luxury items (Big brand appeals) as the tax will be very high. For sport equipment, only need to pay for VAT or sometime free (depending on the value of the items. Usually, if it is around 100 USD or below they do not ask to pay the tax )
Hope that help

I have never had any issues ordering from amazon I have bought books, dvds and a kindle a also order vinyl from UK and ordered a DJ controller from US supplier with no problems. Nothing has been opened and no customs duty charged. I get them shipped to my work PO BOX and I only pay 1500R package to post office.

I actually bought quit a number of stuffs from eBay. Never had to pay more than 5000 riels at the post office. Most of the items are small electronics or phone cases. Never dare to buy expensive stuffs though.Sovatha wrote:Hi! Hikitakumori,

Why, oh why, didn't I take the Blue pill?
I used to ship my purchases from Amazon to Cambodia using MyUs.com, but their service has really gone down hill, as of late. I found that if you ship via FedEx or DHL, you can normally get a really nice "discount" on import taxes. Shipping anything via EMC, which is not a shipping option with MyUs.com, inevitabbly requires full payment of the ~26% import tax when you pick it up.
