Apologies first --- not sure where to post this and i am not trying to fan the stupid forum war flames again. but looks like orange dragon (Od) is threatening to leave, as one of nastier posters there got into it with him and some others sided against him.
i always found od an interesting poster even though i often disagreed with him.
i guess it could all just be a wind-up to stir controversey but it looks real so far ...

Apparently I can't do shit right when I post... so I'll be bidding CEO farewell. The general on my ass about shit like this, the posters dissatisfied with my "style of posting", etc... there's no sense in me dragging the site down.
Enjoy."

I like OD, pity if he does leave (for them), he's quite a character and we disagree strongly on some stuff, but personally I like him. He was accused of participating questionable debating tactics here (the unpardonable sin, almost on a level with ant-capitalism or criticising HR abusers). Smart guy.
It has been interesting to see his critics practise exactly the same methods in debating, btw.

yes, i found his debating style a bit "tricky" at times, but not really horrible. he looks like he could head a comitee on debating ethics compared to some of the stuff i had to deal with on the genetics thread.vladimir wrote:I like OD, pity if he does leave (for them), he's quite a character and we disagree strongly on some stuff, but personally I like him. if it is not a wind-up, it will be interesting to see if this was the case of a "one beer too many" post or if he really means it. also is his intended absence as a poster only or totally walking away from ceo?

People get worked up over such trivial nonsense. Hopefully the rants at least provide some entertainment value.

OD is in an awkward position of not being able to defend himself without "outing" a board member(s) past life. So he took the high road.

If anything, OD has made me realise that I'm a tad ADHD too...

CE.O is experiencing growing pains that any community forums would encounter.
If they can go through them and improve, good on them. If they fail to identify their real issues, then that's life, too bad.

We should let them sort out their own issues, we don't need threads about it over here.
