Today I withdrew $950 from my Australian Visa Debit Card, in 2 separate transactions, at a Canadia ATM. Iguess it depends on thetype ofcard you are using. I can alsowithdraw up to $1000 per day from my Dubai visa debit card.paulhen wrote:Canadia bank free ATM withdrawls as of a few days ago but for int'l cards limit is $150

Canadia Bank has restored use of their ATMs for NO CHARGE on their side, only your bank's fees.
Even with MC, which was limited to $150 for a while there. Up to $400 on MC, AFAIK, and much more for use with Visas.

Is anyone having problems using foreign issued Mastercard's at Canadia ATM's over the past 5 or 6 days? I've been using it for years and aside from adjusting to their always changing withdrawal limits for foreign cards I've never had any problems. I used it 10 days ago in Phnom Penh and had no issues but now cannot use it in Sihanoukville as of Thursday last week. Contacted my U.K. bank and they said there's nothing wrong with the card at all but Canadia in Sihanoukville insist the problem does not lie with them? Had to use UCB's ATM in the mean time and had no problems during business hours on Friday. Then used it again Saturday and turns out they've charged my U.K. account for a non dispense. Funds were ring fenced for 3 days and instead of it being returned to the card UCB have kept it. I've asked around and it seems this error is quite a common occurrence over the weekend period at UCB's ATM's in Sihanoukville (even with UCB issued cards). Can anyone shed any light on the Canadia situation or recommend another bank's ATM situated in Sihanoukville that I can make a Mastercard withdrawal?

What about ATM charges for withdrawing with local cards?TristranandIsolde wrote:Canadia Bank has restored use of their ATMs for NO CHARGE on their side, only your bank's fees.

Just reporting that Mekong bank atms have introduced a new fee (previously free). Three or five dollars depending on how much you're withdrawing.
Report: free cash advance.
I just want to report that I got a cash advance last week from the Cambodia Asia Bank just around the corner from Sovanah Mall. I was told it was free for less than 250usd, so I took 200 on a UK issued Halifax Clarity credit card. The amount just showed up on my bill as 127.56, and the current exchange rate on xe is 127.62, so basically the money was free of all charges and I am very happy

I noticed Krung Thai Bank is on the list. Does anyone know if I would be able to do direct transfers from Cambodia to banks in Thailand using ATMs If I opened an account with them? I mean like you can in Thailand, simply by keying in the recipients bank and account number at the Krung Thai Bank ATM? Thanks.
I realise this may be an old topic but fees, etc. are changing all the time. Can any one suggest the best bank that accepts Master Card issued cards and has cheap ATM fees for withdrawing funds from an Australian issued MC Traveller Card. I currently use Canadia Bank (US$4 ATM fee). ANZ Royal charge US$5. Any advice would be appreciated.
