It's a noodle shop now.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
I have some photos somewhere of the place when it Dave was building those little brick walls outside and painting them silver or gold?

I seem to recall he posted his condolences when KiR died.Lucky Lucan wrote:It's a pretty old thread that was dug up, not a whole lot were as volatile as this one. Anyone heard from our old pal from Birmingham recently? I bumped into his ex-wife a few months back and she was doing ok. I'm sure he's fine anyway, all the best to him and the young lad anyway.YaTingPom wrote:Sometimes 440 reminds me of ....

He posted his condolences for a guy who died in Sihanoukville, not for KIR. Understandable as they fell out way back.Starving Pelican wrote:I seem to recall he posted his condolences when KiR died.Lucky Lucan wrote:It's a pretty old thread that was dug up, not a whole lot were as volatile as this one. Hmm. I seem to recall he still posted on KiR's obituary thread. I remember they fell out years ago - during his darkest days, KiR described him as the 'poster child for the Starving Whippets Society' or some such. Made me laugh out loud.Lucky Lucan wrote:He posted his condolences for a guy who died in Sihanoukville, not for KIR. Pete was rather vindictive.
Dave wasn't.
Guess who left all this behind years ago?

I bumped into "Somnang" tonight, she's working in a restaurant in Kampot I recognised her straight away & apparently I'm the first person to remember her since the demise of "Broken Bricks".
Good to see her again and she's doing well.

Nah, she worked in Huxleys after BB; we frequently chatted with her and certainly called her by her name.Steve Zodiac wrote:I bumped into "Somnang" tonight, she's working in a restaurant in Kampot I recognised her straight away & apparently I'm the first person to remember her since the demise of "Broken Bricks".

Lovely girl, glad to know she's still doing well.
I came, I argued, I'm out
