Cambodia Jail(s)
What are they like. Have you or a friend ever done time here? Ive heard some anecdotes but never first hand. When I think of it, it scares the piss out of me.
Also, are there any known photo's or repositories of stories and information, if so, please share.
Last Q: Can you visit the jails, have you ever, and whats it like?

The problem with the world is stupidity. I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

I read somewhere a barang was unconscious and seeing as the other prisoners are the caregivers they also took the opportunity to confirm the western = big dik rumor by all taking a look.

There's a Prey Sar fan fiction subreddit?PorkPiePorn wrote:I read somewhere a barang was unconscious and seeing as the other prisoners are the caregivers they also took the opportunity to confirm the western = big dik rumor by all taking a look.
Trying to find the thread about Cookie who was banged up in Prey Sar and took photos and gave insightful commentary via his phone; think it was a post from Bonez.
Anyway, found this

A list of the various kingdom jails ranked from the best to the worst would be interesting.
I just know SHV prison as an outsider but for some reason I always believed it was probably better than Prey Sor.

Well you are talking about going to visit...PorkPiePorn wrote:Huh?ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:OP - haven't you heard of TripAdvisor?
I wonder is prison tourism any more acceptable than orphanage tourism?
There may well actually be a high %age of population crossover.

I am not sure your point or your motivation in your reply, however, there are several good reasons to visit a prison. For one, accountability and human rights, and also for humanitarian reasons, thirdly for supporting a friend or acquaintance, and fourthly, as you have indicated, for voyeurism which is not a good reason.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:Well you are talking about going to visit...PorkPiePorn wrote:Huh?ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:OP - haven't you heard of Trip Advisor?

I will not lie, I am curious, however, I have toured a womens prison as part of visitation group I was involved with, as well as I have also visited an inmate at a maximum security prison as a favor to his mother. People in prison most often SHOULD be there, but they are still human beings, and a little compassion can surely alleviate some of their mental suffering. I am almost certain that if you have the right heart and purpose, most inmates would welcome your visit.
I am actually interested in doing something related to prison work, as far as my voluntary contribution to society would be concerned. The idea of being locked in a box, helpless to manage your own affairs and therefore totally dependent upon the care of your captors frightens me on a personal level. If you need access to medication or care and your plea's fall upon deaf ears, its fucked up. I actually do not care who you are or what you have done, it is not right to let a human being suffer, in spite of their loss of freedom ah, but I digress.
