Europol needs help identifying this hotel room
Does anyone recognise this hotel room? Europol has issued a notice seeking help identifying this room to help solve a child sexual abuse case.
It looks like it could be in Cambodia to me, although it could be in Thailand. The power socket seems to be a UK one, but I've seen this used in Cambodia before - indeed I had one like that in my apartment, with US style sockets in the same room room. I don't recall a hotel room using these sockets exclusively.

The bed looks more Asian than Western to me, but unless you were in that room there's nothing specific to help pin down where it's at.
Seashells hanging down and a starfish picture/painting on the wall. It's almost certain to be a beach resort somewhere. Could be Sihanoukville but even then doesn't need to be Asia...could be South America also...

If there was an English druggy involved, better check under the bed.
The wiring is 99% SE Asian, too lazy to channel it into the wall. However, unlike Cambodia where they'd simply leave the white plastic conduit to see, they've taken the trouble to paint it the same colour as the wall (socket on right+above door); amateur conclusion- Thailand.

There are people who cannot imagine that there are other ways of life than their own life.

Malaysia uses UK plugs and sockets, and many hotels use the "all in one" wall sockets which will take many types of plug, including my current hotel here in Phnom Penh.scobienz wrote:The power socket seems to be a UK one, but I've seen this used in Cambodia before - indeed I had one like that in my apartment, with US style sockets in the same room room. The framed wall art above the bed, possibly Malaysian or Indonesian?
