Yeah, maybe that's one of the reasons the place didn't make money.logos wrote:Shit, their Friday specials were the best value in town. Any item on the menu for a flat $5

I never went there. It was known as a haven for weirdos on the lam.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
Been there a few times over the past month, no vibe, minimal staff, few customers even for "$5 Friday". Meanwhile the bar next door is always packed.
Looked like the place was being deliberately run down, the news of closure is hardly surprising. Chantz managed the bar well, seems like the current Singaporean partnership has no interest in the place at all.

A haven for weirdos on the lam? isn't that the KOW?
The Cad was great when Kenny ran it. Downhill since then.

I went there twice last night, sat down and waited, and waited, and waited for the staff to bring a menu. Got up and left empty handed both times. (between 5pm - 7pm)
There was one cashier, a waitress and a barmaid working (that I could see) Place had a few customers.
Definitely gone to the dogs since Kenny left.

Since Monstah, next door opened, they killed them for service, and they've got very reasonably priced and good food complete with sports screens.

Really? Is that why the American owner of Monstah handed the keys back and headed home after less than a year as he couldn't sell it and was losing money?
I thought he sold it to the Swiss foods bloke?tombraider wrote:What Your Name? wrote:Since Monstah, next door opened, they killed them for service, and they've got very reasonably priced and good food complete with sports screens.

He leased the kitchen operation to Swiss Foods Asia. Then I heard the restaurant/bar was for sale but I don't know if it got sold.

Monstah is horrendously bad. Nice enough people I suppose, but the food is horrific. I don't think they ran Cadillac out of business.
