Rather than face a sure conviction for negligence over a rice subsidy scheme which was very popular with the Northeaster's but cost the goverment billions of $$....she choose not to show up in court this morning
she is following in her brothers footsteps and fled and we wont see her back in Thailand again.
the court has issued a arrest warrant and The court ordered the seizure of the bail guarantee of Bt30 million.
am sure she will meet up with him in Dubai

Some reports saying she might be heading for the KOW ;
A Thai court issued an arrest warrant for Yingluck after she failed to show up on Friday to hear a verdict in a negligence case. Prawit said he heard a rumor that she may have fled across the border to neighboring Cambodia, while newspaper reports said she may have later gone to Singapore or Dubai.
I bet she wont need to apply for a work permit to get a visa.
“There may be a possibility that Yingluck already escaped out of the country because there are several paths for her to leave,” Prawit told reporters in Bangkok. “But I would like to assure you that the government has no knowledge or intention to let her escape.”

Well, if others are convicted to 42 years in jail and 36 years I would not take any chances too.
Cambodia would indeed have no trouble helping out if the following quote is correct:
"The daughter of Yaowapa Wongsawat, another of Mr Thaksin's younger sisters, married the son of a Cambodian MP."

I wish Mrs. Puu all the best

Did she cross by land at Koh Kong and then get granted Cambodian citizenship, and then fly by private jet to Dubai via Singapore on her Cambodian passport? That's what sources tell the Bangkok Post.

Maybe she went to Pattaya, started work in a bar, met a 70 year old German punter and he took her back home under a fiance visa.gavinmac wrote:Did she cross by land at Koh Kong and then get granted Cambodian citizenship, and then fly by private jet to Dubai via Singapore on her Cambodian passport? Pictures now on Facebook of her embracing her brother...
I'd slip her one.

she has disappointed all her followers by running when she said she wouldn't,
guess the thought of jail vs living like a princess in Dubai, got to her.
BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand's former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has fled to Dubai, senior members of her party said on Saturday, a day after she failed to show up for a negligence ruling in which she faced up to 10 years in prison.
Puea Thai Party sources said Yingluck left Thailand last week and flew via Singapore to Dubai where her brother, former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who lives in self-imposed exile to avoid a 2008 jail sentence for corruption, has a home.
"We heard that she went to Cambodia and then Singapore from where she flew to Dubai. She has arrived safely and is there now," said a senior member of the Puea Thai Party who declined to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the media.

In 2016, Yingluck pledged to see through her trial, and said that she had not considered leaving the country.
"I stand firm to fight my case. All eyes are on me. I have duties and responsibilities to carry on.
"I assure you, I've never thought of fleeing."
Yingluck's no-show was a "big surprise" to most people in Thailand, Thitinan Pongsudhirak, a political scientist at Chulalongkorn University told CNN.
"The way that she had fought, it had looked like she was willing to go through with (the trial).
Thitinan said Yingluck's decision to skip the verdict hearing will have "emboldened" the military government.
"They would not have wanted to put her in jail, in this scenario, (but her not showing up today) puts her on the back foot and gives them an edge."
