But, how to find a Khmer manager you can trust? Can it also be female? Are (young) female managers being accepted in Cambodia?
I have at this moment someone in Siem Reap which whom I am preparing this project. But ... she is western too. Certainly I would like to have a nice Cambodian girlfriend, but that only happens when I would be living there. So she is not in the picture right now.
It will not be easy to stay out of the picture. I like to manage these kind of projects and normally I am the "face" of the company. But I get the point!
Same about competition. Never thought about this. As far as I know I do not have competition in this project. That is the reason I started it But than again. There is a product a little like it but really very different. In appearance and in the way they make money. So best stay away from their way of operating as possible?
Why would your female Cambodian manager need to also be young?
And, yes...it isn’t like Saudia Arabia or something. Women can and do drive cars, manage and even own their own businesses here...young, middle aged and old.
Edited to add I know a lovely Cambodian girl who met her husband while he lived overseas. You definitely donkt need to be living here to have a Cambodian sweetheart.
