It was good the first time around, would be happy to support and buy another 15. Busy weekend though, can you keep them planted and fresh until Monday?

That would be nice. Seriously, about how much usable leaves did you get from 15 plants?
I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.

Way too much for my own use. But I plan to make the pesto that I didn't get around to making last time.

Plants are 80 % leaves...all useable....A bouquet of basil with the roots placed in water will last a good week on the kitchen table.....I also store the leaves in ice-cube trays for later usage. The plants are bigger and better than last time too.

So, that is a photo of 15 plants for $10? I'm just trying to estimate how much cheese and nuts to buy at Thai Hout. Some basil pesto tips: - The pine nuts available here are very expensive, and low quality. - I've tried substituting cashews, peanuts, walnuts, and almonds. Walnuts were the best. - Whatever nuts you use, roast them first. Salmonella can be a problem. - Pesto freezes well, but leave out the cheese. Add it later after the pesto is thawed. Tastes much better.

Yes, 15 Italian basil plants (2 varieties) in that photo. The buyer said he was going to plant five of them and make pesto with the rest.

in regard to pesto, i have a strange sounding advice - if using food processor, freeze the basil leaves first. i tested it, and it's true - the texture is noticeably better when the leaves were frozen, vs fresh. of course i was too lazy to use mortar and pestle, which supposedly is the best method and you don't need to freeze anything. source - http://www.seriouseats.com/2017/06/freeze-basil-leaves-for-food-processor-pesto-curry-paste.html
