MealTemple - screw them
MealTemple - screw them
I’ve only used it a few times for food delivery, deleting them out of browser history now.
Placed online delivery an hour ago, as it didn’t arrive I gave a call to make sure no problem finding our location.
MT “Oh sorry sir very busy”
“Ok, so when is it arriving?”
MT “Sorry, not process yet”
“Ok, so when is it arriving?”
MT “1 or 2 hours more”
I wonder how many people are left hanging for a meal that’ll arrive 3 hours after ordering? You don’t call and tell people what’s going on?
Is the YourPhnomPenh the same terrible service?

In my experience Nham24 is the best. I have few similar experiences from MealTemple. Never going to use it again.GMJS-440 wrote:I’ve only used it a few times for food delivery, deleting them out of browser history now.

I can pretty much cook any decent meal in under an hour. Save the hassle, cook your own!GMJS-440 wrote:I’ve only used it a few times for food delivery, deleting them out of browser history now.

Oh damn, those pesky Asians don't give me the same service I get in 'Murka.
Tip the fuck out then.

no replying to those who misinterpret/misread what i write. this aint kindergarten
Huh, what does Meal Temple being terrible have to do with the USA or tipping? Expecting a delivery under 3 hours is not appropriate in Cambodia?Pu Li wrote:Oh damn, those pesky Asians don't give me the same service I get in 'Murka.

If a business sucks they should be called out for it, not let to continue with terrible service because "Cambodia."
Such as the recommendation for NHAM24 above, will check them out.

I get frustrated with MT when I take the time choose the restaurant and food (not always the easiest with a group of people), place an order, get a confirmation, and then 20+ minutes later I get a call “sorry bong place closed”.
Waited 1hr45mins last night with YourPhnomPenh. Their live chat option wasn't very helpful with only "on way" being written in reply to our queries.
On arrival the contents were only half of what we'd ordered...with no explanation for the missing items, but at least we weren't charged for them.
Today though, got a $2 credit for next time...for the delay...still nothing on the missing items!

It can be very frustrating to call restaurants directly at times, but that always leads to the best results for me. The other day I actually called, and she had trouble understanding, so I just texted her the order and address. I think that will be my go to move from now on.
I tried D2D recently (Brooklyn pizza ad offers a direct link) to order Indian food. Good set up and it arrived on time, about 45 min. But then it was the Indian restaurant that sent one of their guys who spoke perfect English, so if you deal with locals it might be different. Calling them directly next time, as migs suggests.

I was going to order through Meal Temple the other night, but couldn't be hassled to go through the sign-up thing. So I called fat boy Subs directly and had a sub sandwich delivered to my door in 12 minutes exactly from the time I placed the order. Not bad!
D2d wouldn't take an order because it was from 2 restaurants.. Simply refused to take them as separate orders over the phone during a single phone call, so hung up and never bothered with them again.
Nham24 app is so sluggish it's completely unusable so deleted without ever submitting an order. Meal Temple is consistently an hour late and also a very slow app - like their grocery website. I have found Your Phnom Penh to be good overall, only late once among dozens of orders.

You called D2D? What number did you call?epidemiks wrote:D2d wouldn't take an order because it was from 2 restaurants.. Simply refused to take them as separate orders over the phone during a single phone call, so hung up and never bothered with them again.
D2D is like the the yellow pages. It lists restaurants and their phone numbers.
If you called the number listed in D2D for Angkor India and told them you also wanted to order a sandwich from Buffalo Sister, that's bound to create some confusion.
