I think I did notice them more when I was here first, and if I go away for a bit I'll notice them when I return. The city is planning to cover all those canals and improve sanitation along them anyway. I've been near much stinkier canals/ rivers in Kathmandu and various other countries. The Chrao Praya in Bangkok was always septic as hell too. The main rivers that flow through Phnom Penh are relatively unpolluted.amirite wrote:I've never noticed these smells and have no idea what he's talking about. As for being outside, I could wear this good quality pollution mask I bought when I was living in polluted China.
I haven't noticed it for a while, but at times it can get very dusty here. I live in the outskirts and it's way worse than central locations. It's ok at the moment but sometimes it's like you need to dust off surfaces daily.
