French guy caught flying drone at Hun Sen's house
SOURCE: https://campost.news/read_news/18219
Frenchman Pierre Michel Breckler arrested and sent for education.
I didn't write that. The source is CamPost news. Someone from CamPost wrote it in Khmer and I just translated it with Google. Feel free to click over to the CamPost site for more photos and infos. It's important that we support and encourage Khmer press outlets who report on foreigners getting arrested (or going shirtless).

That look on his face is like "What's the big deal?"
"The final straw actually involved my mortal enemy vladimir, who you may or may not know is an insufferable, overposting asshat."

That's one of the northern bridges to Koh Pich, it's more than a kilometer from the PM's house. I doubt that thing even has that range, but it seems that it's not a wise move to fly a drone anywhere in central Phnom Penh.

I guess if he goes a couple of hundred feet up and directed the camera then he could still get decent pictures of the big guys house.Lucky Lucan wrote:That's one of the northern bridges to Koh Pich, it's more than a kilometer from the PM's house. Here's a video of the Frenchman, PIERRE MICHEL BRECKLER, being educated by authorities.

They can fly up to 4 miles and back potentially so flying over the PMs house from there might be doable if the signal was good.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:I guess if he goes a couple of hundred feet up and directed the camera then he could still get decent pictures of the big guys house.Lucky Lucan wrote:That's one of the northern bridges to Koh Pich, it's more than a kilometer from the PM's house. The report on kohsantepheap says something along the lines of him being seen near independence monument flying a drone and later apprehended near the dragon bridge near koh pich.

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. That house near Independence Monument looks pretty much empty since it was built, I never see any lights on. A drone video of his house in Ta Khmao would be a lot more interesting as it has a huge military base for the Bodyguard Unit nearby, but I would seriously advise against anyone trying to fly a drone there.Bong Burgundy wrote:The report on kohsantepheap says something along the lines of him being seen near independence monument flying a drone and later apprehended near the dragon bridge near koh pich.

As you are getting very old you become paranoid even in your sleep when clinging onto power when you arent welcomed. There are drones taking pics and there are drones with fire power. I get where he is coming from esp when you have millions of dollars sitting in off shore accounts. It sucks to live like this.

Let's not forget that drones are dangerous and a security risk. This ban first came into place when some imbecile thought he'd film the Queen Mother's exercise routine in the secluded and private areas in the Royal Palace. It's also very easy to adapt one to become a weapon, same goes for radio-controlled cars but they can't get over barriers. Even without adapting one they are pretty dangerous just as projectiles with spinning blades.

Yea that looks like a Diji Mavic Pro, with a 7 km range and can go 60 km/h! Pretty cool tech.Speak No Evil wrote:They can fly up to 4 miles and back potentially so flying over the PMs house from there might be doable if the signal was good.ផោមក្លិនស្អុយ wrote:I guess if he goes a couple of hundred feet up and directed the camera then he could still get decent pictures of the big guys house.Lucky Lucan wrote:That's one of the northern bridges to Koh Pich, it's more than a kilometer from the PM's house.
