So i'm sure everyone here owns a hammock right? Playboy etc. Right?
But you just set it up on some semi deserted beach, crack open a beer and it starts to piss down so what i really need is one of those ultra lightweight tarps like the stuff tents and umbrellas are made of.
F*cked if i can find any though.
Just bought 3m of that quality waterproof nylon fabric but can see myself eventually giving it away as too heavy.
Lightweight tarps for hammock dwellers?

"I don't care what the people are thinking, i ain't drunk i'm just drinking"
I find most of the tarps here are really heavy duty.
Grab yourself a military hootchie/basha, available in Pshar Teuk Thla, some of the local markets around town where they sell the military style hammocks, and at The Protector on 271 near PP Sports Club. Very versatile, can be used with or without poles. I paid about $15 or 20 (?) for one not too long ago at Teuk Thla.

Nope, can honestly say that I have never owned one. I enjoy relaxing in one on occasions at those Khmer restaurants over the Japanese Bridge next to the river, or if out in the provinces on the plantation under a mango tree.spitthedog wrote:So i'm sure everyone here owns a hammock right? There seems to be a few options above already suggested that seem okay. I would try somewhere like Russian Market, they might have some.

If you relax in your hammock under a mango tree you will be harassed by those large, nasty red ants inhabiting the tree in no time. Not recommended.Playboy wrote:Nope, can honestly say that I have never owned one. Have not had that problem so far, and have had the plantation for about 14 years.Kachang wrote:If you relax in your hammock under a mango tree you will be harassed by those large, nasty red ants inhabiting the tree in no time. Maybe they are too busy eating the fruit to bother me, or maybe the fact I only go up there a couple of times a year has something to do with it ?
Or maybe all the breakfast ABCs render me unable to notice
