A very, very nasty accident between an 18 wheeler cement truck and a 3 wheeler tuk tuk in Chbar Ampov last night.
The poor driver was dragged 200m before the truck stopped.

Holy moly ...

UGH. to be honest, I feel 10 times safer on my trusty old Suzuki, than in one of those rickshaws, but they do come handy once in a while.
Question is how overworked/tired both drivers were at the time of accident.
Maybe choose the Camrys from now on, it's probably worth the additional expense, and it is still quite affordable to get around town.

I had a security guard at the office. One day a PassAp appeared parked here, and after a few days I asked about it. It was the guard's, and he was driving at night. He started falling asleep at his post more, as he was working a full day here and then driving at night. That lasted for less than a month... before he got in an accident and was killed.newnewnewbie wrote:UGH. to be honest, I feel 10 times safer on my trusty old Suzuki, than in one of those rickshaws, but they do come handy once in a while.

They can be a worry even when not sleepy at the wheel. I rarely get them and never at night. Yesterday I got a Grab (which I prefer to passapp even though the latest update removed the option to pin origin and destination on the map). The driver literally spent more time looking at the map on the app than he did at the road. And he did it while approaching and driving through intersections. A serious risk. I reported it. I'm even less likely to use them now.
