Tropical Storm Pabuk

I guess this is where last night's rain came from and today's clouds?

According to the BBC it's the first storm in nearly thirty years to hit the region outside monsoon season, which ends around November.

Looks like some of the Thai islands are freaking out right about now...

Yeah, that was a pleasant surprise, I could hear the garden being happy ;-)
It must have been because of Pabuk.

That storm was a total bust. The Thai authorities were freaking out and exhibited an over abundance of caution, due in part to the death of the 43 Chinese last year on that boating accident. They're trying to reach record numbers of tourists this year and feared the bad press if another accident occurred.
