Hi all,
Just wondering what the situation on tax is over here.
I know that the bandings would be 10% for a salary of around 1500 dollars per month.
I've also read that some employers pay the tax for their employees. Does this mean that if my salary was 1500 dollars per month, I'd actually only be taking home 1350 as my net?
Or would I still be able to take home my full salary in some way?
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
Many thanks,
Simon

The tax on salary is not a straight % against wages. The first 300 is not taxed at all, 301 to 500 is taxed at 5%, and at your wages anything over 500 up to 1,500 is taxed at 10%.
That’s around $111 of tax, so not as bad as you calculated.
