My mate Bernard always used to scam the social in the UK over his disability allowance. It was known as Benny fit fraud.

Hah, I just had an interesting experience presumably related to this. I read on another forum that naproxylene is very effective at stopping drinking (and maybe other addictive behaviours), so I went to my local pharmacist.
He didn'thave them but he has Garbapaldin and something beginning with T and valerian the herbal things that sometimes works. All checked out on google, also got a common SSRI anti depressant as they can help u kick the good soup too. 1-3 of these each day and vallies too just to be double sure my future was clean. No point being half-arsed about it.
Depressingly off course, they didn't work or have any effect at all. did a full 40 days and then just quit all of them and sauce for a few days. Then I had a fucking epileptic fit on an airplane, nearly got the flight diverted and another one shortly after. Full-on spas attack tho i dont remember jack.
Anyhow had EEG, not an epileptic. presumably some withdrawl effects. still an alchy. still depressed, but 1kUS$ skinter for hospital fees, but at least i know , with some certainty that all the cures and anti-depressants don't work and only make things worse - look on the bright side.
Funny enough, the doctors prescribed me with more vallies/mazzies and told me to not quit drinking in 1 go.............

Nothing quite like the Mandrax from India with curved swastikas stamped on them. Very popular mixed with dagga in a bottleneck in the townships in the early 90s. I think they stopped making them.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.

Yeah, called Qualudes in US. Huge in Australia in the late 70's. They were eventually made illegal - but only after huge resistance from the automotive repair industry.Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Thu Mar 14, 2019 12:06 amNothing quite like the Mandrax from India with curved swastikas stamped on them. Source? Not sure I believe that, if that was the case half of USA would have AlzheimersHairy-nosed Otter wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 7:01 amBritish Medical Journal about three years ago published the most comprehensive review ever untaken of all previous studies into the Benzodiazapin- Alzheimers connection.
The number they came up with; If you have taken Benzo on 50 days in any 5 year period of your life - your chances of developing Alzheimers are 30% higher.
They also proved a definite direct causal link. (not just that benzo users had other problems which meant they were more likely to develop Alzheimers anyway - the spiel that Eli Lilly always pushed)
Long flights and sleepless nights are a drag but the "cure" may be worse.

Fark, sounds rough, what was your dosage? Are you back on them?AnassRamaIV wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 11:57 pm

I thought my advice might have been wrong for you and you'd died or gone bonkers.
Yeah mate, your advice was good.... it was very weird for a while, seriously strange stuff was happening... I was watching the new Avengers movie and found myself welling up when Thanos snapped his fingers towards the end and killed 50% of the universe. Same at the end of The Bourne Identity, even shed a tear when he turned up at the bike shop ...freaked my Mrs out no end. Your words resonated and it’s all good now! Thanks for that

Look it up tomorrow morning before you hit the pills - I assure you it is there as quoted.

Indiana, after another strong coffee and a bit of quiet reflection; You are quite right in asking for the exact source. There should be more of it.
There are too many fevered imaginations in this part of the world to simply just accept peoples claims.
On a lighter note, yes, it is truly scary that americans take so many benzo's and other similar mind/soul/body fuck-up pharmaceuticals.
But it certainly explains a lot.

Fair enough, I should have asked for a link rather than source as I was just being lazy.
The report states that the participants in the study were >66 so I think I’m ok for the next 30 years or so.
