"Now, then, in order to understand white supremacy we must dismiss the notion that white people can give anybody their freedom." Stokely Carmichael
Well here's a thing.
To survive the full immersion in the maelstrom of drugs, hookers and alcohol that was the '90s for many in Cambodia, one had to have a certain facility for....well, staying alive, frankly. Alas, most of my chums didn't and all but one are gone. It was a very unusual time. Post conflict animist society. It wasn't boring.
Then most of us were in our early 30s, and the body could take it. To my surprise I discovered the other day, mine no longer could: I neglected to go to sleep for 10 days, something which was fairly normal in its time, and ended up in the fucking hospital.
Soooo, if you want to ride on, in the face of a certain decay, steps must be taken. For me it has been bicycling modest 40 to 50k distances and an alleged involvement with a very pleasant, dissipated and intelligent yoga group.
Is 53 old? It doesn't feel like it and most of the new young studs seem to have the minds of fogies when we were punk.
Up yas.

If they the nay sayers saw a photo of the goddess instructor they might start to understand.
Nought wrong with yoga , in fact probably one of the best forms of exercise one can do. In fact most forms of stretching , warming up or down are yoga exercises.

k440, something to do when you're pissed.
Does she look like this?
I'm good for 30 standard press-ups but can only manage 5 yoga press-ups.

I don’t think Dallow brought up the yoga thing because he thinks all those that do yoga a puffs and he’s so badass himself. He brought it up because the “expat 1.0s” on here take great offense and like to quickly attack any perceived weakness/lameness/gayness/hipsterness of “expat 2.0s”. If I started a yoga group with a group of newer expats, how would their reaction be?
Secondly, instead of just owning up to it and laughing(“ha, yea, you got us, but I still got crabs from a girl on 136 last weekend so let’s just call it a wash”), several denied it and acted like snowflakes that they’ve been insulted.
It would be like finding out this whole time that Playboy had secretly gained French citizenship following the Brexit vote, then denied and denied it, but even ended up renouncing the crown for the red French passport.

I am considering entering my award winning short poem about women's periods, entitled;
The Missus is On The Blob
(and being a bitch)
I'm off to my safe space, the pub
See you in three days.
The End.

Meanwhile, back to the topic of Expat 2.0, it is possible that we have discovered the power source of their fatiguing optimism - and the reason that they all seem to act like the sun shines out of their arses ...
It may also explain the unnatural interest in yoga ...
