I travelled all over Vietnam on a bike way before Google Maps and when just having a map of the region could het you into some serious sh*t.

Cool, I biked from Germany to Vienna way before google maps and when I took a wrong turn I ended up in a concentration camp...
But I’m still 2.0. Now I even download the google map to my phone if I’m not going to have service when I go somewhere. So what? Does that make me less of a man?
Whilst all this talk of yoga and safe spaces is going on...

As I said in my earlier posts: I gladly use social media (great to stay in touch with family) and I absolutely love gadgets and apps. But I would never ask on FB where to buy a pineapple or something.Miguelito wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 5:23 pmCool, I biked from Germany to Vienna way before google maps and when I took a wrong turn I ended up in a concentration camp...

I think we need to put this expat 1.0 vs expat 2.0 thing into context.Visser wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 8:00 pmDo you know when the Bayon Pearnik first came out?Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 3:21 pmThere was no Lonely Planet Cambodia when I first came here and no free maps unless you count that shitty one in the Bayon Pearnik.
Like, when was Gary Glitter first here for example? Was that before or after the arrival of Lonely Planet Cambodia?

There appears to be some insecurity in this thread.

I bet you wouldn't dare do it now since the place became overrun with marauding fast breeding sub-species.Miguelito wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 5:23 pmCool, I biked from Germany to Vienna way before google maps and when I took a wrong turn I ended up in a concentration camp...

Ladies and gentlemen, here we have two Englishmen (which is not even a country so I should be saying Brits) laughing because they think a country founded in 1871 and another founded in 1918 are older than one founded in 1776.Jamie_Lambo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 9:53 pmPlayboy wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 9:15 pmOr to put it another way ...Miguelito wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 5:23 pmCool, I biked from Germany to Vienna way before google maps and when I took a wrong turn I ended up in a concentration camp...

Between his visits, 1.5
After his second visit (2011) 2.0

Apparently, going by their site, 1996. I remember a few people pointing out this "Sophies" place way back, it was on a balcony near Psah Thmey if I remember correctly. I never understood the appeal, it sounded gross. Whatever is done in private between adults is one thing but getting a blow job under the bar while chatting to your mates is not my kind of thing. Especially when you figure it's the 50th cock that day.Visser wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 8:00 pmDo you know when the Bayon Pearnik first came out?Lucky Lucan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 3:21 pmThere was no Lonely Planet Cambodia when I first came here and no free maps unless you count that shitty one in the Bayon Pearnik.
Romantic Cambodia is dead and gone. It's with McKinley in the grave.
