oranges / green oranges
Have you ever noticed that they will peel the skin off of the oranges, and then either press them like that or eat them like that. But it's only the other most skin, and not the full rind. So what's the point, as they're still not eating the rind?
I see some peel the skin then spend a lot of time picking all the white rind off.
If you eat the orange and pith you get the most nutrients from the orange.
Additionally, orange peels contain calcium, several B vitamins, and vitamins A and C. You can get the same nutrients by eating the inner part of the peel and leaving the tough outer part.
"The pith of the orange — the white part between the skin and fruit — can be sour or bitter but actually contains just as much vitamin C as the fruit itself, with a good deal of fiber,"

Why is that sad?...educated me please.
I bought some excellent oranges in Aeon 2 this week. Imported from USA. Possibly the best I've had here, and not at all dear.
