People are worried that she may shop him or involve him in her crime in some way, but I am sure she knows the system and realises she will need the support of someone on the outside from now onwards. The first thing she will try and do is get a prison term with a number for example 25 years other than life. This is going to cost the husband $25,000 plus , if he's willing to pay which I'm sure he will to keep himself out of it even though he may not have any involvement.
Then you have to add on the compensation to the family.
Hear and hear, but do not understand; see and see, but do not perceive.
For they do not know what they hear, see, say, or do, and yet they do not concede that they are blind and deaf.

You clearly don’t know the people involved Fred. The husband will be hard pressed to raise $250, let alone $25,000.

You're completely right I don't know him but I wish him the best.
I just made the assumption that he would have some money then the above is reasonable to assume.

I’ve briefly spoken by messenger with the husband and he says that he went to the station yesterday on his own when she called and asked him to come to give her support. The police talked to him while he was sitting outside, but he never felt threatened or got the impression he was a suspect. He says he even left at one point to go home and change clothes (as he first went in the rain), and then drove back. He says he was not able to see her yesterday, but will be back today to try and talk with her.

He doesn’t plan to respond to other comments on here, and is understandably in an emotionally difficult place at the moment.

This girl had a dark side, but probably a great 'face' to all barangs.
Not really, many of us wizened up to her antics long ago. The husband is a guy I've known for many years and I couldn't see him ever so much as hurting a fly. He stupidly got involved with this utterly toxic piece of shit, alienating many of his old friends in the process. I'm pretty shocked at how bad things actually turned out, but it's not like nobody warned him.
So the woman showed dark/psycho tendencies? Or was it just her bad habits with money? Couldn't just be the money as that would not alienate good friends.

I’d think the husband should be in Thailand by now, and America by tonight.

Did you know that it’s illegal for an American to possess child porn while abroad, and he can be convicted for it and arrested in the US - but it’s not illegal to murder someone abroad? So he could safely live out his years in the US... if he can get there.

As far as I know, it's not illegal under U.S. law for an American to possess or view child pornography while abroad.

The woman was creepy. I met her once before the famous falling out they had with most their friends and once or twice after. She definitely gave off a special vibe. She was extremely friendly and wanted to talk about who I knew and other private info you normally don't ask a stranger. She sent me a Facebook friend request that I rejected.

You know what, what if it's not her first rodeo? She knew exactly what she was doing.

If I were to compile a list of discrete ways to get rid of a body then opening a restaurant would be one of the first options after pig farming and dissolving the bodies with chemicals. Pig farming requires vast resources and boring country life. Chemicals are smelly, dangerous and hopefully not too easy to get ahold of without raising suspicion. A restaurant is the perfect cover especially for a chef.

It's crazy how many steps she had to go through to pull this off, and with 3 kids and a husband in the house not knowing? Come on, does anyone who has young children actually believe this story? Especially in Cambodia where parents do 0 sleep training and the kids sleep with mommy until they're married.

A freezer one of those tree shredder things and a remote location would work better...........Good for the plants as well.Seen on one of those murder investigation programmes, caught because of the teeth found in his garden.

but how on earth does a small Khmer woman manage to totally dismember a human being without other people in the house being aware of it? Think of the noise. Think of the blood. Think of what’s needed to cut through a human neck and bones and joints. Especially with no more than a standard meat cleaver.
Everything is explained in the 15 minute plus video confession at the crime scene. I know Walter and can't believe in anyway that he is anyway involved, so to avoid those that can't understand the content of the video asking questions that could start rumours, here is a Q&A based on points people raised above and the answers as explained in the confession video:

Q: What was the motive?
A: She owed lots of money, the lender is threatening to tell, and she didn't want anyone to know especially her husband.

Q: How did a small woman choke the victim?
A: The victim was also a small woman and she didn't choke her to death, she strangled her and held her mouth and nose until unconscious, then moved her into a bedroom and finished her off with a krama.

Q: How did the husband not know?
A: She kept the body in the step daughters bedroom and locked the door. She says categorically that the husband NEVER went in that room. I think most would agree that is a sensible policy in this country.

Q: How did the husband not hear the body being cut up?
A: She drugged him in the evening to ensure he slept soundly

Q: How was there no blood?
A: She put the body in the deep freeze first, then cut up the frozen body.

Q: How does she know how to cut up a body?
A: She talks about experience butchering animals.

Q: How did a small person cut up a body?
A: She had experience and used sawing motions, not chopping. She mentioned she struggled with the neck.

Q: The story doesn't sound legit.
A: The story and chain of events including the motive are logical. Or at least as logical as you would expect from someone who thinks murder and dismemberment are a way to make her problems go away.

How convenient that an impoverished uneducated woman knows exactly how much of a drug to use to put a grown man to sleep long enough to chop up a body but not enough to overdose.

During extreme stress at that. In a country where they take antibiotics for a cold and Paracetamol for anything and tiger balm to cure the dying.

What a wonder woman she must be. What did she drug him with then?

This story has more gaping holes than GSM.

A friend of mine knew her from way back, and while attractive at the time, and at first seemingly charming and outgoing, quickly found her untrustworthy at a psychotic level. And so ended their relations abruptly, but that she would turn into a freak murderer is somewhat still a surprise. Hoping someone will take care of the kids, must be terrible for them. Back then she would hang with hardened local criminals, murderers as well. Its a crazy place here, always has been, so beware.

"Freezer", it's a box with ice in it slowly melting. How much did the woman weigh, shall we say 70 kg? Do you think a 70 kg 37C degree body freezes quickly in a box of ice in tropical heat?

There would be more body than ice in the box. I'm sorry but no, not buying it.
