You're saying two inconsistent things. 1. There's no way he could have been involved 2. He's a gullible idiot manipulated by her and blinded by lovelogos wrote: ↑Thu Jun 13, 2019 4:04 pm
Those who know him even a little also know there is no way he could have been involved in those tragic events, regardless of how weird some elements may sound.
But there's also a consensus that's he's been a gullible idiot manipulated by that toxic psycho since day one, and to this day he hasn't been willing or able to admit that and move on. Of course it has been ruining his life and will probably continue to do so but that is his choice. He's guilty of stupidity, blindness, whatever you want to call it, but that is no crime in itself.
If a gullible easily manipulated idiot blinded by love walked in on his wife trying to move a dead body around, and the wife said "She tried to kill me! Help me get her into the freezer now!" what would a gullible easily manipulated idiot do?

The whole nasty affair seems like something from a crime show, maybe that's why we are interested. Maybe you'd rather if we just forgot about it, its not like we are ever going to encounter these people or anything, we should just let them alone with their misdeeds and murdering.

The crazy thing is that this isn’t that crazy of a story here. There are constantly stories of a teenage girl killing another over $20 earrings, or villagers burning a local witch, or some gruesome rape/murder.
What makes it remarkable is that this didn’t happen in some random Kampong Thom village, but in Phnom Penh at a cafe people have been to, and by a woman many know, married to a man that many know.
And this isn’t the end of the story either, there are certainly inconsistencies and more will come out. The son driving away on the moto is a big one. The PPP story is bizarre, as Da certainly wasn’t hiding and I’m sure she went to the market all the time, and what’s that bit about the daughter staying over, etc?
On a more lighthearted note, 200+ comments and not one mention of Dexter. Impressive.

Truly shocking story this. I see Gavin Mac has been giving General Machiavelli a deservedly hard time about his motivation in this case. I thought Mac made some excellent points myself.
One good thing to say about a lawyer is that they don't care as to which party they will represent just as long as the reward threshold is met.

Miguelito, why is "allegedly" in the title?
You referred to Alamo Cafe as a former advertiser. I believe I saw the ad last week.
One article reported the victim was Da's best friend from the village. She hadn't found her for two years.
The other convoluted article seems to say the victim encountered Da and daughter in the market. The victim took Da's daughter to her home overnight. Presumably as collateral.
Da has been ducking creditors for years.

I think you're skipping over a few of the really gruesome ones.
There was the husband in Sihanoukville who list face and that got his mates to rape and torture his ex with him before slaughtering her and dumping her body on waste ground.
The 14yo girl who was gang raped and tortured by whipping her with branches and even had scratch marks on her eyes.
The grandmother and little child that were found beheaded at the edge of a forest.
The elevated hanging of a disabled child for Buddha knows what reason.
The father that committed suicide then cut his own head off and put it in a suitcase before driving into a pond.

Why is that a big inconsistency? I don't get it. Da told her son "I need you to drive whatshername's moto somewhere?" And he did it. Why is that important? Maybe I'm missing something.
Follow my lame Twitter feed: @gavin_mac
Maybe the son has never that moto , and the order from the mother was not consistene . I dunno,

Isn't it? I'm familiar with a murder case back home that had a very similar situation. A murderer asked someone to help drive the victims car away from the murder scene and was caught on video doing it. He was involved and if it were not for the video of him driving the victims car away he may not have gotten caught for being involved... which also clearly led back to and tied him to the killer.
I'm surprised a lawyer thinks that a murder suspects son driving away from a murder scene on the murdered person's vehicle isn't something to be answered for? I dunno, did she say anything about it in the walk through perp video? Of course you could be right. She may have said to her son "hey just take this motorcycle that my friend left here and drop it off for me somewhere" and it could be just as simple as that with no questions asked. Either way he knowingly or unknowingly got rid of a murdered persons motorcycle. I would think it to be important to find out what else he either knowingly or unknowingly did for his mom?
What is the interest rate? Banks 18% Micro Finance 25% How. I wonder was she able to borrow money without security. from multiple people..maybe, its the law of the land in that low life borrowing game,. you not pay, I kill you., or I cant pay I kill you. Gambling is the worse addiction. It's worse that drugs, That's a fact, Jack., but also strange was the victim said she would tell the other people she borrowed money from,. her home address?. Who lends any money and don't know where they live? that's odd especially in KOW
